I wasn’t always comfortable with my reflection 🪞

For a time I wasn’t happy with the direction my life was heading. I remained as a victim of circumstance until I realized I was actually the creator of that circumstance. Shifting the trajectory of my life has been a journey and I sometimes struggle to keep both hands on the wheel steering in the right direction. It’s not always perfect but I can at least now look at myself in the mirror and trust the driver ;)

We held our lodge on Friday the 13th during our latest retreat. Friday the 13th was once considered Day of the Goddess in honor of the divine feminine within us all and the cycles of creation and death and rebirth. There were 13 females present for this ceremony 12 humans and one pup ;) We laughed, cried, sang and of course sweat 🔥 We emerged from the inipi, womb of the mother, renewed, reborn 🙏🏼
I’m so grateful to pray in these ways and learn from true stewards of the earth. This ceremony was a beautiful start to the amazing retreat experience we all had this past weekend!

Redressed this beautiful lodge today and built the foundation for the fire which will heat all of the lava stones (grandfathers) that will be brought into the inipi on Friday for our Ohana Retreat 🤍 This space is the womb of the mother in which we will be reborn 🙏🏼

Dr. Bailey started her wellness journey over 15 years ago when she became inspired by the practice of yoga and completed a yoga teacher training. This love of yoga and its ancient wisdom expanded her awareness to the power of energy medicine. This landed her in Santa Cruz at Five Branches, where she earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Through working with hundreds of clients and years of study, she has come to see and understand the effect mindset and intention has on the healing journey. In order to support her clients further through a mind/body connection she joined the Life Coach School and will be certified by May 2022.

Dr. Bailey's practice in Chinese medicine, yoga, nutrition, mindset, and lifestyle embody a whole mind, body, spirit aspect to the healing journey. She is dedicated to offering her knowledge and skills to intentional gatherings focused on women's empowerment and growth.

About Kelly :
Kelly grew up on a hobby farm in a small town in northern Minnesota. Thanks to her parents, she developed a love of nature and an appreciation for the outdoors at an early age. She studied at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where she earned her B.S. in Conservation and Environmental Science.  Completing an internship out of college was the start of what is now a 10+ year career in farming. Currently growing food for a local non profit Open Arms, providing organically grown produce to those navigating disease and compromised immune systems. When Kelly isn’t out in the field, you’ll find her in the kitchen. Cooking is one of Kelly’s love languages, focusing on plant-based, fresh, local, and sustainable. Eating with the seasons connects us with the cyclical nature of Mother Earth allowing what we consume to not only be nourishment but medicine 🌱

Strolling into a new year never felt so good 🙏🏼

One of the best things that happened in 2021 was the creation of I was feeling such strong pull I couldn’t ignore to gather women together in person, face to face, heart to heart. We NEED this 🙏🏼 To feel nurtured, held, supported by other women. What I offer in these retreats is eclectic (like myself ;) and unique. We explore a variety of healing modalities together. It’s deep, emotional at times, super fun and soooooo rewarding! Women, myself included, are leaving these weekends with a new perspective and version of ourselves to bring back into their daily lives and families. I’m blown away by the transformations I’ve witnessed and just know this is part of my life path to host such gatherings 🙏🏼 I’m honored, truly. As someone that has pealed back layers and layers I know how important it is to say yes and do the work! I am now able to create the life I want to live everyday and it keeps evolving ❤️

Desire alone doesn’t get you there. Raising your vibration to meet that which you are calling in is. Living as if you are already there. Expressing gratitude whenever possible.

For me this looks like shifting my negative self talk.
So instead of saying or believing
“I can’t have/do (enter thing I desire) because of (enter fear)”
I say or write “I CAN/ALREADY have/do _______ because ( enter affirmation) !”
This is a work in progress for me, but I do notice how the universe responds to this when I do.

There are so many examples on how to shift your mindset and get your body, therefore your energetic field on board with everything you are calling in and deserve ❤️

As much as we can accomplish through doing, striving, working, creating, I think we can forgot the power of allowing. We can feel guilty for what we feel is doing nothing, when in fact there can be so much forward momentum in finding stillness and actively receiving. Tuning into the subtle signs of where our heart is guiding us. It takes work to be self aware ❤️
I myself can be distracted by what my idea of success looks like and the list of tasks it takes to get there. There’s nothing wrong with making lists, just make sure to include stillness and rest on there 👌🏼

This can sound easy to say but really discovering our true worth can be a lifetime job. Some of us have lots of layers to peel back. It can be hard to be that vulnerable. May you find those that can hold you along the way as you step closer to the life of your dreams 🙏🏼
