What's the fastest vegetable?? :)
We sowed these runner beans under glass in late spring from last years saved seed.
Towards the end of last years season we left some bean pods on the plants. They selled up and dryed out turning brown with dehydration. From here we collected the beans, podded them and stored them in a cool dry place over winter.
After starting them off undercover this year, we recently planted them out into mitrogen rich soil, where they have taken off.

The over wintering onions are out.
With this warmer weather the onions can't keep their skins on and are starting to bolt (go to flower).
This is a sign of fully developed bulbs, ready to harvest.
