What is actually the Mastermind for Positive Change? As I listen back to @rucsasirius words I am reminded that each of us had to find out what the #mastermindforpositivechange actually is. Even we, as the initiators and facilitators. @gwendelkusters and I started this project a little more than one year ago. Back then, we thought we want and need to equip #changemakers with tools, self-awareness and skills to create positive change in their own life and in their surroundings. We had great ideas and plans of what people would achieve through the program in 3, 6 and 9 months. We started with a lot of enthusiasm and a strong sense of agency. What we learned very quickly was that this was not what our participants REALLY wanted and needed. Yes, they joined us for what we had proposed and promised. But within the first 3 months it became very clear that we could 1) drop our preconceived agendas.. 2) let go of the fancy development goals… 3) reconsider the idea of well thought through assignments for the time in between two sessions… We learned that we had to #trust both, our own intuition of what the group needed and the feedback of the participants on what topics and skills they wanted to learn about and grow within themselves. It's become a container for growing (self) #awareness, continuous learning about group and inner dynamics, including what it means to allow and celebrate #diversity and #inclusion. Participants started their own projects and businesses, (re)gained trust in their own capabilities and potential, held (space for) each other and became a #tribe. Want to join this #communityoftrust? You know what I think happens when we work the whole day to reach our goals? We loose ourselves along the way. At least small bits and pieces… …like our groundedness …or a bit of our energy …or our focus .. So the question becomes: How do you gather these bits pieces again and reconnect them to get your sense of wholeness back? For me it can be a walk 🌳🚶🏻‍♀️ Or pealing potatoes 🥔 Or a cup of tea and starring into the nothing 🫖 What is it that brings you back to yourself?

On how many levels can we learn and increase our level of #selfawareness when we find ourselves in a group setting? I guess there are some obvious ones: .. on a content level .. on a behavioral level regarding our own behavior .. on the same behavioral level regarding the behavior of others and then there are the more subtle and deep levels levels from which the real gold nuggets can be lifted to the surface: .. how what others say or do triggers us and why .. how the trust-level (changing over the course of time) influences the depth and of what is shared .. how the way the facilitators hold the space allows for more or less vulnerability and courage to show up .. in which moments it's good to speak up and share and when silence brings even more value I'm incredibly grateful for participants like Joep C de Jong who help me and Gwendel so well to understand what it means to host the #mastermindforpositivechange in a valuable way.
