Grace & Holly Walk a Marathon for ViC

Well we’ve only gone and done it!! Thank you for all of your support and donations it really means so much to us and ViC. We’re at home now resting our sore feet and nicely showered off, all we need now is a good warm meal!

7.6 miles in and having our first snack break in East Leake. Feeling good so far and even learnt why apples make us burp ❤️

Today we did our longest walk yet - 20 miles!! We started with beautiful sun, battled with winds and ended with a torrential downpour🥴 Despite this we had fun and it was a really good test to see how we’ll deal with the distance on marathon day.

We have hit £520 on the Just Giving page, again we’d like to say how grateful we are. It’s really been amazing how much support we’ve received! 🥰

We are going to try and rest our sore legs now - our next long distance walk will be marathon day! 😅

Hi! We are two fourth year vet students who’ve had a personal goal of walking a marathon since the New Year. We suddenly realised (while training) we could raise money for a charity in the process!

We have decided to raise money for Vets in the Community as this is a charity that is very close to both of us and we think it’s a fabulous cause. We are also very proud to attend the vet school that set it up.

Vets in the Community is a charity that has been set up to provide veterinary care for homeless and vulnerably houses people and their pets in and around the Nottingham area.

We will be walking the marathon on Wednesday 17th March, but in the meantime we will continue to update you with our training!
