Photojournalist Lauren McGee went to New York to document people during the height of COVID-19.

She comments, “The woman’s red hat caught my attention as the two sat overlooking the water. I took the shot. When I returned from New York I had hundreds of images of empty streets and ambulances. This one reminds how beautiful the city remains, Coronavirus-stricken, or not.” —————————————————————
Look out for more beautiful photos from Lauren on our page.

Ivana Cuk! ✨✨

Hometown: Laguna Niguel, CA (Orange County)

Year and major: 4th year and Communications

What’s your favorite memory of UCS?: Being apart of UCS has been such an amazing experience overall. My favorite memory would have to be between the Careers in Communication Mixer last year, the "Who Invited Her?" Podcast Panel last year, as well the friendships and connections I have made through COMMunity🙂

Who inspires you?: The constant unconditional love and support from my family and friends definitely inspires me as a writer. They always remind me that I have a purpose that is greater than my self and that my writing is so special and should be shared with the world
