So here’s a harsh truth most people won’t tell you...
You’re going to FAIL 😓
Actually, we’re all going to fail at something. Failure is a part of success.
No one succeeds 100% of the time.
And that’s fine. But failure shouldn’t stop you, especially when you know the reasons why it happens.
2 of the top reasons failure happens are:
1️⃣ Fear
2️⃣ Lack
Fear and Lack are both tricks that happen in our minds before they play out in the world.
This past weekend I ran the “Riot In the City” Race with my friends from
My race was 9.2 miles. I haven’t run that far in a long time and to be honest I had a bit of fear around how my body would feel during and after the race.
Once I pulled up to the race the fear went away as I saw the crowd of racers ready to run. Then I saw my closet pals from R.I.O.T. squad and I knew I didn’t lack support.
I cramped up a bit but I made it through the race with little pain and anguish.
I just wanted to let you know that fear shouldn’t stop you from any of your goals. You don’t lack anything. Everything you need you already have.
If you’re reading this post then you have an internet connection. You have a device to view social media.

Stop trying to fix your poor habits.
It might already be too late for you 🤷🏾♂️
Einstein said “you can not solve a problem with the same mind that create it.
You have to BE somebody different. DO something different in order to HAVE a different result.
So if you’re sitting at your desk feeling the strain in your back from hours of unending coding sessions, your eyes tired and your mind foggy from back-to-back Zoom meetings, or your smartwatch reminds you that you’ve barely moved today, it’s a wake-up call.
Remember, it’s not just about doing less of the bad things - it’s about doing things completely differently.
You literally have to think about what the person who has the solution to your problem would do and then do that.
By simply adopting a different perspective you won’t have to worry about your bad habits around fitness, nutrition or stress management…
Because you will have crowded them out with new actions from your new mindset.
Better habits will become default for you
That’s how you make the transformation…
👉🏾 Swipe to learn the 3 men’s health pillars that’ll help you level up and break free from poor habits and mediocre performance.

We still have a lot to do as far as merging the long term connection between health and wealth…
But right now we gonna embrace this moment and smile like the teacher just put a gold star on our report card⭐️
The energy was big at the Tech Summit today. Thanks for inviting us back.
We’ve all hit a point where we felt overwhelmed with one thing or another …or maybe a whole lotta things at once.
You probably landed somewhere on this chart and that’s ok…as long as you take time to learn the lesson and get back up.
The 2 fastest ways I’ve learned how to recover from being overwhelmed and giving up are:
1️⃣ Journaling - If I can express the problem and my feelings around it clearly in writing I can identify my triggers and learn how to respond better.
2️⃣ Mentorship - Having someone with experience who can 1. see further down the road than you and 2. offer unbiased insight is like having a “fast-forward” button on life.
When you’re a high-level professional there will be a time you want to give up and do something easier.
Take a step back, peep game, recharge and decide on the next best move.
Poll: Have you ever felt like you wanted to give up in pursuing your career or life goals?
The weight of “I wish I had” is heavier than any dumbbell you’ll ever lift 🏋🏾♂️
Discipline isn’t all about being like a Navy Seal or waking up at 5 a.m. (that’s helpful though)
It’s about doing what it take now so that you won’t look up 1-3-5 years from now like “damn why wasn’t I more disciplined?”
We all loose sight of our goals sometimes and fall off.
I know I have…especially when it comes to finances, business follow ups, and and even exercise.
But you can get back on track by simply doing this 👇🏾
Think of Discipline like your quiet homeboy who’s always there, nudging you to make better choices. You see the results he’s getting from practicing discipline…and he wants you to come hang out more often.
Where do you find it most difficult to practice discipline?
Is it with fitness? Nutrition? Stress Management?
Let me know in the poll and I’ll follow up

You’re not gonna like this…
But I don’t believe in work-life balance 🤷🏾♂️
(read more if you’re triggered)
High-achievers who push this concept only do so after they’ve achieved a certain level of success.
In my experience “Work-Life Balance” flows in seasons. Yea it’s possible, but this may not be that season for you champ.
2 things I do believe in are “work-health balance” and “work-life alignment”.
1️⃣ No matter how demanding your career there’s a holistic standard of health you must maintain to stay successful and match the demands of your work.
2️⃣ “Work-life alignment” simply means that you are thoughtful enough to only incorporate meaningful people/things in your life that support success in your work and that your work makes massive positive impact for all the meaningful people/things in your life.
You can’t be selfish with it or the alignment will never come.

Most guys just live life on cruise control…
And they wonder why they don’t get what they THINK they deserve.
In order to Have more you can’t just Do a little more.
That’s only the top layer…
You have to go beneath the surface and Be more.
That best way to do that is to decide who you want to be then track whether or not you’re doing the things that version of yourself would do.
—
What are you actually investing your time in?
What projects are you working on? What foods are you eating? Are you hitting your workouts? When do you take time to recover and recharge?
Focusing on the habits that create your best self would absolutely get you closer to have all the things you say you want.
Most people won’t do this though...
They’re too lazy. They’ll settle for excuses or worse.
You don’t wanna be the guy who settles right?
You’re intentional about who you are, what you do and what you have.
Don’t stay on cruise control
📲 DM me the word TRACK and I’ll send you a copy of my lifestyle tracker so you can stay on top of all the things that matter to your success
Mind over matter but motion makes the difference ⚡️
“Ion’t feel like it” is totally relatable content however…
Every time you say that about something you know you need to do, it signals to your body that temporary feelings overrule the long term success you say you want.
You can have the feeling but reframe the thought (and words) from “Ion’t feel like…” to
“I get to …”
“I get to work out”, “I get to eat a salad”, “I get to work on this new project”
From there just take the first small action forward.
The more times you take small, correct actions in the right direction the more you become the person you know you want to be.

“Better than knowledge is applied knowledge.”
When I opened the first Good Part & Co. brick & mortar location in 2020 I had plans to make it a hub for information around health, wellness and plant-based living in our community. We offered various books on everything from liver detox, to celery juice, to women’s health and more. The pandemic sidelined a lot of what I had planned. What I didn’t know was there was a bigger plan in store.
Fast forward 3 years and I held my 1st, live masterclass at the prestigious John Hopkins University. (Won’t He do it *prayer hands)
In another life I used to teach elementary and middle school on a part-time basis. I didn’t feel like that classroom setting was for me but I always believed in sharing what I’ve learned to help others who could benefit.
I know how a plant-based lifestyle benefited me but the Good Partners wanted to know how it could benefit them. So I created a course around what they wanted and serve it up on a University level. We do more than make a great smoothie bowl.
This was only the first offering from our new education and coaching platform.
Welcome to Good Part University 🌱📚

Taking care of yourself is an active pursuit. It’s not a passive thing you do after everything else gets done.
Running is a great form of self-cafe not just for physical fitness but for many it's form of therapy as well.
I’ll be out running with tomorrow evening for a special wellness and mental health run in conjunction with and Project Brave Space.
After the run you’re welcome to join us for conversation on the importance of mental health among Black men. It’ll at the Sagamore Pendry Hotel 7pm-8:30p
I encourage you to come by. Nothing beats real life connection.

RAISE THE FLOOR⬆️
The best businessmen and businesswomen aren’t the best just because they’re smarter or have more money and resources.
They’re often better because they RAISE THE FLOOR in their personal and professional lives. They constantly work to create efficiencies, reduce mistakes and discard anything that pulls them backwards and down.
So what’s that mean for the health of a stressed out entrepreneur?
Here are some way you can RAISE THE FLOOR in Nutrition, Exercise and Wellness:
🌱Nutrition
Reduce or eliminate all the junk food you normally eat, especially when you’re feeling stressed.
(Ex. Replace the soda with 100% juice are spring water) RAISE THE FLOOR on your diet by removing unhealthy foods.
💪Exercise
You hit the gym once or twice a month claiming it’s too far or you just don’t have time. Eliminate the struggle - buy a jump rope. Do 1 min intervals then work your way up. Do it daily and hit the gym when you actually have time. RAISE THE FLOOR by removing the obstacle.
🧘🏾♂️Wellness
You’ve firing off emails, look down and realize your hands and fingernails look horrible. Schedule a manicure or spa day. You deserve it. RAISE THE FLOOR on self-care by making it a priority. It reinforces your “deserve level” , it feels good and makes your work worthwhile.
I’ve created a checklist for entrepreneurs on more ways to improve and maintain good health so you can perform better in business. You can download it for free at the link in the bio.
