While there's more work ahead, particularly in enhancing cold start capabilities, this achievement marks a significant step forward. For the enthusiasts among us, we've achieved comparable power output with heavy fuel as with traditional gasoline but did see a significant reduction in exhaust gas temperatures — a decrease of approximately 200°F (93°C).

To expand the adaptability of our system to an even wider range of fuels, including clean options like hydrogen, methanol, and ethanol. More good news. Well, actually, a great honor and another milestone for the team at Alpha-Otto Technologies. Our REV force engine technology, developed to utilize carbon neutral fuels and expand hybrid electric applications, just surpassed some stiff competition to be chosen as one of the top 28 semi-finalists for Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI) Cohort 7.
CRI is a trailblazing program run out of world-respected leader in multidisciplinary scientific research, Argonne National Laboratory. CRI identifies groundbreaking science and energy-based technologies that will improve energy sustainability and make a significant global impact. Alpha-Otto’s next step will be pitching our technology and its impact in front of the CRI review panel. We wish the team luck! Here is the full announcement.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is spurring development of clean-burning hydrogen technology with a huge $60-million investment. That's just what we have been working on; developing hydrogen powered engines to help decarbonize the off-road sector. Introducing Alpha-Otto Technologies. Founded by John Krzeminski and David Dusseau in April of this year, Alpha-Otto Technologies is a powertrain engineering company bringing revolutionary new engine technology to the world. Alpha-Otto engineered an ultra-low emission two-stroke six-cycle engine that utilizes our REVolution suite of engine technologies. The REVolution engine is over 2.5x more powerful and just as reliable as a traditional four-stroke engine while costing less and being easier to maintain. We see the REVolution engine redefining the small engine market as the demand for smaller more efficient and clean engine technologies continues to grow.
