English and Filipino teachers of Naro NHS spearheaded the “Flag Reading Ceremony,” one of the activities of Project Literacy Advancement Through Meaningful and Balanced Approaches in Teaching Reading (LAMBAT). It was actively participated by Naronian learners after flag raising ceremony, March 6, 2024.

Alexis B. Mahinay, a Grade 7-Skylark student, narrated the fable “The Mouse and the Lion”. After he told the story, English and Filipino teachers, Mrs. Sweet Ohella Pevida and Mrs. Daphnie P. Tamosa checked the comprehension of students by asking the study guide questions:

1. Compare the mouse and the lion according to size and bearing.
2. Why did the mouse decide to free the lion from the trap?
3. What important lesson did the lion learn after the mouse freed him from the trap?

It was actively responded by Aisy M. Walohan (Grade 9-Archimedes),
Mae Rose M. Ando (Grade 11-Athena) and Crystal Osa (Grade 12-Erudite), each of them received a reward for their responses.

Here’s to more LAMBAT activities!
