So, Cassidy admits the plan was to go soft, draft soft skill players. Problem is they overcorrected and built a team many Bruin’s fans don’t enjoy watching. We don’t want to see our team run out of buildings night after night... we want our team to do the running!!!

The Bruins responded to the critical Ian against the Pens after having a team meeting and be called out by the coaches. Should it have had to come to that? Hell no.

Cassidy admits that Sweeney intentionally drafted smaller, skilled players... this style of team was intentionally built. Sweeney misread the trends of today’s NHL...!sure, the “goon” types are gone but there are plenty of teams with big, rugged players who police the ice and can play (see 2011 Bruins).

I’ve made the decision to blot go to anymore Bruin’s games... after 40 years of being a fan and attending 3-4 games per year... voting with my wallet. Not dropping $700-800 on going to a game to watch a team play in a style I don’t enjoy. I realize that the Jacobs probably don’t care about losing my $3000 per year but if others follow suit the message will be clear... bring back some Big and Bad to our beloved Bruins!!!

What are Sweeney and Neely doing to our once proud franchise??? It’s sad to watch our beloved a Bruins getting pushed around night after night... the 2019 Finals exposed this team as too small (2 5’9” inch d men night after night) and lacking the physicality to bring home the Cup against a less talented but much bigger, more physical Blues team. The trend continues this year as the Bruins are manhandled night in and night out.

NHL Power Rankings: Top teams benefit from old school hockey The best teams in the NHL right now are playing a physical brand of old-school hockey. Here's how Joe Haggerty rates them all coming out of the NHL's Christmas break.
