ASDA Stands in Solidarity with the Asian American Community

ASDA mourns with the Asian American community and all of the victims of the devastating shootings in Atlanta that took eight lives, six of whom were women of Asian descent. This is the latest attack against Asian Americans since the coronavirus arrived in the United States. These acts of violence and harassment began at the start of the pandemic, when expressions of xenophobia and anti-Asian sentiment began to rise around the country and the world.

ASDA stands in solidarity with the Asian American community and with all students against injustice. As an association that serves to protect and advance the rights, interests and welfare of dental students, we do not tolerate racism or discrimination and condemn these acts of violence. Every person has the right to safety and well-being. Human rights and equal opportunities for all are important.

ASDA strives to cultivate a welcoming environment for students of all identities. It is our responsibility to ensure this occurs in our schools, clinics and communities. We are determined to reduce health inequities and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We voted Sammy as our Trustee because we are confident in his ability to lead. He is the type of leader who isn’t afraid to go back to the drawing board to revamp an initiative and who creates an environment where students feel comfortable engaging in open dialogue.

Welcome to the ASDA District 4 January Webinar Series! We hope that this series will help you learn more about dental school and keep you connected to dentistry.

The Annual District 4 Conference to be held virtually January 29th-January 31st!

Registration will be $10 until Dec. 1st, and will then go up to $20 after. Registration for pre-dentals will remain $10. All registration will CLOSE on January 5th, 2021.

*To be eligible for the swag items, payment must be received by Dec. 5th, 2021.
