The Leguan Trip-to the Church and Beyond.
I won't do justice if I put a long description here, make a trip and see for yourself. Literally it's a couple hours of your weekend and a buncha friends.
It was a bus/boat trip so here are the fares and approximate timings.
G/town - Vreed-en-hoop (by boat behind Stabroek Market)
$100 (10 mins)
Vreed-en-hoop to Parika Stelling(by bus)
$300 (30 mins)
Parika to Leguan(Ferry MB Sandaka)
$80 per adult $40 per child (1hr)
If you're driving, cost varies depends on the class of vehicle(starting at $760). Visit Transport and Harbours Dept., FB Page for more info.
Taxis are available at the entrance of the island
Approx. $500

Speedboat is a faster way on/off the island, it's usually $500 when the boat is full but at half capacity it's $1,000.
There you go. Plan a day and your budget. Don't make the fear of not knowing hold you back.
And please no stepping on the ropes in the speedboat.

In a 40ft black water trench heading into the unknown.
Don't worry, at the end of the journey, there were cows that needed to be chasedš¤£
Jokes apart though, it was really peaceful passing under the bamboo trees.

The first thing you feel is a sense of peace, there is no need to carry any burdens here. And as you feel this lightness you realise your presence-a lady on the tv lol.
