What is UGC NET?
UCG NET is a national level exam, also known as NTA-UGC-NET. This Exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) to determining the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Central/State Universities and Colleges. This Exam first started in the year of 1989-1990 conducted by UGC themselves till 2014. Then Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted this Exam till June 2018. However, now this Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from December 2018 to till now.

What is CBSE?
The full form of CBSE is Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools. CBSE is totally controlled and managed by the Union Government of India. At First Uttar Pradesh Board of high School and Intermediate Education established in 1921 which was under jurisdiction of Rajputana, Central India and Gwalior. In 1929 Indian Govt. set up a joint Board name as "Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana" and later it became the "Central Board of Secondary Education" in 1952. This CBSC agency conducted the UGC NET Exam till June 2014. And then CBSE dedicated this Exam to NTA.

What is UGC?

The full form of UGC is University of Grand Commission (UGC) is a statutory body set up by the Government of India in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 under Ministry of Human Resource Development. Its headquarters is situated in Delhi and it has six regional centers situated in Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Bangalore. It provides recognition to universities and colleges in India and disbursements of funds to such universities and colleges to develop their infresture. First this UGC themselves conducted UGC NET Exam from 1989/1990 to 2014. And then UGC dedicated this Exam to CBSE.

UGC NET Eligibility 2020:

Ø NTA NET Candidates should have Master Degree in relevant subject with 55% or Appearing in Master Degree.
Ø For reserved category candidates, 5% relaxation on Master Degree.
Ø No age limit for Assistant Professor Only.
Ø But JRF's maximum age is 30 years.
Ø For reserved category candidates five years relaxation for JRF.

UGC NET JUNE 2020:
All NTA NET Candidates have a great scope to appear in this exam in JUne 2020 exam. The application starts on 16th March and the last date to apply online has been extended till 16th May 2020 due to the emergency situation COVID-19. All eligible candidates have been requested to apply for this exam because they have a great opportunity to be an Assistant Professor in Indian Universities or colleges.

This exam is held online mode all over India in 700 Exam centres.

UGC NET Exam 2020 Admit card issues on 1st week of June 2020.And Result will be published on tentative 5th July 2020.

The UGC NET application fee is Rs 1,000 for General category candidates, and Rs 500 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and Rs 250 for SC/ST/PwD/transgender candidates.
Tentatively, UGC NET 2020 exam is likely to be conducted by NTA from June 15-20.

UGC NET Application Process/Procedure 2020:

UGC NET selection process includes the following some steps:
Step 1: Fill UGC NET application form
For the UGC NET exam, candidates have to fill up an application form in online mode on the official website of the exam.

Step 2: Admit card download
After successful registrations, candidates have to download their UGC NET admit card by logging in to their registered accounts in the official website.
Step 3: UGC NET Exam
Next, candidates need to appear for the UGC NET exam. This NTA exam is a computer-based test that consists of two papers - I and II. Both the papers contain objective-type questions that candidates need to complete in a duration of three hours.
Step 4: Check Answer Key
A few days later NTA released the official Answer key. Candidates can check their response and guess their result according to previous year’s cut off mark.

Step 5: Check UGC NET Result
Atlas NTA released the UGC NET result. And only 6% Candidates have been qualified for Assistant Professor only. And all qualified candidates have been given UGC NET Qualified Certificate. This certificate helps them to be an Assistant Professor.
