I’m so thankful that my father, the late Dr. Cleo C. Kirk, made us memorize certain Bible verses. Specifically, the 10 commandments and 23 Psalms. Thankful for the Word being repetitively taught. It guides me in his earthly absence. Thank God his lasting and impactful lessons still guide me spiritually.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, let me continue to drop anchor here in all things by saying—again—there is an ‘X’ in the middle of the stage of your life. Please do, beloved, make sure you are standing on it. Flat-footed. Bold. Confident. Or tip-toeing. Frightened. Unsure. But ON IT. Not a bit player or extra in the story of your own life. And not leaving your position in your life vacant to be ensemble in someone else’s. This universe needs all that you have to offer. God created you with unique gifts to give, talent to impart, a mark to leave, and a sound that will shake up this world past what the Richter scale can measure. Align —or re-align-yourself with people, places and things respectful of your value, in furtherance of your purpose, and give YOURSELF the honor you are DUE. Make haste, loves. GO.

I’d like to see indoor pools return to Memphis and we can build something like Bartlett Recreation Center.

It’s important to teach our kids that swimming is necessary for survival, since the world is made up of mostly water. Most cultures outside of the United States teach their kids to swim for survival. 🤔

Women ARE the vote!

We now need equal pay for every woman.

If you’re going to force single motherhood, fairly and consistently pay women what you pay men. Provide women the opportunity to comfortably provide for their families. The opportunity to plan through the power of choice became illegal again.

We are going backwards. I keep trying to tell y’all.

The former power of the executive branch affected the legislative branch which affected the judicial branch and now this is what we have.

Not sure if the decision serves current America or the old America that wasn’t so fair.

I keep getting the feeling that folks are not paying attention until it’s too late.

This can’t be about the American people! 💔🇺🇸

I encourage everyone to educate yourself on the significance of the Juneteenth holiday and celebrate the evolving fabric of America which should be rooted in Freedom for all, as beautifully penned in our Constitution!
