Took LHG with me to last weeks concert in KC!! Was a really fun much needed kid-free night out with my hubby, bro & sis-in-law.

Just a reminder - your nails are not too short, wide, round, thin, (dirty 😜), etc. They may just need shaping, care and consistency over time.

I’m so glad I have this “before” photo taken in 2020. It was right when all the salons shut down & I HAD to figure something out for myself. What started with ColorStreet turned into 4 years of doing my own nails & LEARNING how to get quality long-lasting results at home. (It is possible.)

October will be two years since our family moved from the suburbs to the country. 🤠 We now have 22 chickens, 5 goats, 2 dogs and a partridge in a pear tree.😜

We are back in business friends! My paronychia infection is mostly healed minus a small amount of redness still. I believe I will lose my middle nail as it grows out, but for now it’s in tact so I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

First time wearing “fake” nails of any kind in more than three years!

These are Gel-X nails (linked in Amazon shop). I used Kaleidoscope Eyes by & topped it with Pink Goldfish by 💕

Thoughts on Gel-X: it’s not easy. I’ve been doing my own nails for years now and this was a challenge. I’m a huge perfectionist so each hand took at least an hour or two. I’d much rather go to a salon for extensions if I ever want these again.

Also, they laaaaaaassstt. I wore these a solid two weeks and I could’ve easily worn them longer. But that also means they’re a bear to remove.

My only other tip would be DO NOT CURE if they aren’t lined up right or if there isn’t enough glue. Just wipe and do it again. Once they’ve cured to your nail it’s just really not easy at all to fix.

Back to my regularly scheduled natural nails soon!😉
