The Vermont Legislature is set to increase your taxes by 18%, due to a 12% increase in Educational spending. I have been studying taxing systems to create a better more fair way to fund our State government systems, programs, and labor cost. One thing that I've learned in all that Education funding is out of control. It cost us Vermonters nearly $20,000 to Educate one student K - 12 here. And our testing outcomes are below both the national and international standards level. Further, most Vermont towns taxpayers are paying 70% of their property taxes to fund Education, ie. Paying for what... low test scores?

With today's news from the Democratic / Progressive Vermont House/Senate leaders with their tax increases on working Vermonters. The Minority party, House Republicans put out this notice below. Please read it, and friend, please contact your House & Senate members and tell them to STOP voting for these increases. Also, vital, contact your local Schoolboard members and tell them NO to this and any additional spending. No more!

must stand up NOW.
