Our Hindu friends begin celebrating the Festival of Lights today and I was inspired to make this beautiful, aromatic Butter Chicken.😋😋

Murgh Makani, because that is its original name, comes from India. It is a type of curry made from chicken, with a spiced tomato and butter sauce.

Pierogi leniwe or leniwe literally translates to Lazy Dumplings. They are made of quark, eggs and flour, boiled in lightly salted water. Most often we serve them with double/ sour cream, and sugar or topped with butter, fried bread crumbs, as well as sugar and cinnamon if we prefer the sweet option. My version features fried bacon and onion which made just a superb meal! A nice switch from a traditional dinner.

Boy do I love a good pick me up snack!These cocoa wafers are super light and filling. The best thing is that I will have a couple and my cravings for something sweet will be completely satisfied ☺️

Short-crust pastry, warm and comforting on the inside. These beef empanadas are the star of the evening. They are little pockets of joy made with protein and vegetables tucked into the inside and flavoured with warm spices such as cumin or chilli.
