The City of Montebello has finalized its ADA Transition Plan and committed to implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan and Self-evaluation Report. This report, a key initiative for improving accessibility and inclusivity, holds the promise of a more inclusive and accessible Montebello. It aims to identify and evaluate any barriers or possible barriers that may prevent people with disabilities from accessing the City's programs, services, and activities.

We are optimistic about the positive changes this plan will bring. Community members are encouraged to review and offer feedback at the May 8, 6 p.m. City Council meeting.

The City of Montebello offers twelve (12) free sandbags to every resident who visits 🚒Montebello Fire Department, Fire Station 55, located at 600 N. Montebello Blvd.

Residents must present proof of residency before sandbags can be received.

Residents can then fill their sandbags at the parking lot at 📍311 S. Greenwood Ave and are encouraged to bring their own tools for filling the bags. 🪣

👉We recommend stopping by Fire Station 55 during regular business hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Fire Department staff may not be immediately available if they are out responding to an incident.

🌧️Residents are also encouraged to secure all free-standing objects and prepare to manage leaks or gaps around doors in low areas where water can pool and rise. A great way to ensure water drains from these areas is to clean all drains nearby before the heavy rain arrives.

Stay safe, Montebello!
