This was a particularly fun lithophane project for my cousins Anna-Marie & Joel. I made both a flat version (for Inky, printed flat facing upwards on the print bed) and a curved version (for Jack, printed standing up, facing forwards on the print bed) to compare and contrast the resolution and detail differences the two methods provide. Knowing the cats have their own beds in front of the windows made the end result turn out perfectly!
First prototype of a 120mm fan bracket for Mark Kluge printed in white Inland PETG. I'm extremely pleased with how the print came out, but the magnets are too strong to sit comfortably in their openings that close to each other.
Two of these Kingroon KP3S FDM 3D printers make up half of our current FDM printer farm. Their direct drive extruder and smaller, quick-heating bed make them ideal for faster turn-around projects when build volume allows. Inland filament from is our go-to filament choice with great local brick-and-mortar support.
This photo captured the start of our latest lithophane print commission, which shipped out last week. We can't wait to hear the client's feedback!
