Meet our Treasurer: Summers (they/them)! Summers is a part of the Capital Lawyering Concentration here at the McGeorge School of Law. Summers has worked in government affairs, helping pass legislation in Nevada regarding the taxation of virtual currencies and the use of blockchain in business. Summers has also held several roles at UNR, supporting academic and co-curricular student life, focusing on student programming, voter education, and DEI.
Outside of their passions for tech and public policy, their hobbies include rugby, guitar, rock climbing, and yoga. Following law school, Summers plans to obtain bar licenses in California and Nevada to pursue lawyering in domestic blockchain policy and international space law.
