Thrust Productions
Consultation and event production company specialised in working with festivals and concert tours internationally.
The cold, dark and slippery winter weather makes one dream about the sunny festival sites! βοΈπͺ always love the feeling of walking to the festival area on the first day of the festival - mixed feeling of excitement and pressure/stress combined with knowing it will all go great.
In our neck of the hoods Valentine's Day is mainly about celebrating friendships, hence it's even called Friend's Day. As they say - friends are the family we choose for ourselves. And I think I'm damn lucky to have such amazing friends π€
Thank you, dear friends, for being, for caring, for supporting - for everything you do! You're all treasures in your own way and it's an honour to call you friends and have you on this journey of this business!
π€ Happy Valentine's Day π€

When seeing the success of others, we often forget that this hasn't always been like that - there's a lot of work and determination behind it to reach that point. It all has started out from somewhere and there's absolutely no shame in saying that once you were an amateur because it only shows how long of a way you've came from where you started! Be proud of your process and make it to be part of your story! β¨
Last year same time we were out with the wonderful crew of Manowar! π€π€such an amazing bunch of people. Can't wait for our next adventures in November!
This quote resonated throughout my autumn lectures, especially in the session of "Pitching, networking, and feedback". While universally applicable, its relevance is magnified in the people-driven world of the music industry. That's why the principle of being kind is of such a high importance! β¨
It's always fun to be part of panels at music conferences be it then as a speaker or a moderator. It's a wonderful way to connect with other industry professionals, who resonate with what you've said during the panel but also to be on the panel with some fabulous people from the industry. Not to even go into the ability to talk about subjects that are close to your heart and can have an impact in the industry π
π¬π§ Hey, London network! π¬π§
Will be heading to London for some meetings and still have some time in the schedule to meet-up and catch-up with you. Be it then a proper business meeting or just a cup of tea to have a chat! π« Available on 7th and 8th of February, so let me know via DM or π§ [email protected]
See you there!

π©οΈ going through the airports on tour can be quite an ordeal! Loads of luggage (over weight and over sized!), loads of people, so many things out of your control... but it definitely feels victorious when you pick up ALL of your luggage at the destination airport and the show continues! πͺ

There are many things in life I thought Iβd never be and one is being a calendar girl but here I am - Miss January 2024 in calendar ππwhat a way to start the year!
Iβm so glad that there are organisations like WILM working on highlighting the unrepresented groups in music sector. And what makes me even more happy about it is that they are doing it by showcasing the ones who are making the change happen instead of pointing out the sad ratio statistics of men vs women and saying how the worst people in the planet are white middle-aged hetero men. Yes, I too have been mistreated by them, but during my career I have also experienced more respect and encouragement from men than I have from several women in the industry, whoβve been jealous of other women succeeding. So maybe instead of constantly painting pictures of the beast, we should instead show more often what an ally looks like.
Thereβs way too much negativity around us anyway on daily basis. Hence I find it more important than ever to highlight the ones who are doing good and bring them out as a positive example. And donβt get me wrong, I donβt mean we shouldnβt talk about negative. I just wish weβd talk about the good more often - lead the way by showing how to be good, inspire through positivity - be good, do good. Guess we might all be surprised how many exceptional people there are out there if weβd only look π
So to sum up: βIn a world where you can choose to be anythingβ¦ Be kind.β β¨
β¨ Wishing everyone a delightful 2024! May it bring you joy, exciting adventures and peace of mind! β¨
β¨ Guess we say the same at the end of most of the years - what a year! It's definitely been one of a kind year, combining many of the passions and exciting projects. Here's just a fracture of a throwback to recap for the 2023. Thank you all who have been part of this ride! Can't wait to see what 2024 has in the books but there are some extremely exciting things to come! π₯
It's the time of the year to take some time off, spend time with the loved ones and charge batteries for what's to come π€ The automatic response is set on the e-mails and back in business on 4th of January 2024!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas time! π
π¨ Dear music business network, would appreciate your help! π¨
It's crazy to think I'm already preparing my final lecture for Tallinn College of Music and Ballet MUBA students of Music Projects Management course! β¨ At the end of each lecture, I've given the students some recommendations on what podcasts to listen, what books to read and what documentaries/movies to watch when it comes to the subject we've had.
And here's where I'd like to ask for your help/recommendations:
π‘ any must-read books, articles, podcasts, movies or case studies that have significantly impacted your understanding of the music industry?
Would love to see your suggestions! I'm sure there's still a lot out there that I haven't listed for them yet.
Thank you ever so much! π
xx Ingrid
This week throwing it back to the exciting time working at Lollapalooza Berlin! π€Was a wonderful way to end the season of outdoor European summer festivals. Who would have thought it remained for a long time the last outdoor festival work experience due to covid... π¬ so glad these days are over and quite excited to what's to come next summer! π₯
πΆ In addition to the earlier introduced services, there are also various support services for events available! π Whether it's artist liaison, promoter repping, accreditation management, or production assistance, we've got you covered. π€ Let us handle the details so you can focus on creating unforgettable moments for your audience. π
This one time a crew member had a birthday party and confetti cannons at the backstage sounded like a good idea... not. π
A bit over a year ago we met up with Live DMA survey coordinators in Bilbao during the BIME conference and today we are having a new meeting in Berlin! Collecting and representing meaningful data about music venues in Europe is much needed. It helps to understand the businesses of venues: their income and expense categories, staff etc. During times of crisis this type of data is of crucial value to advocate for the survival of those places. Happy to be able to work with Music Estonia this autumn and winter to gather that data on Estonian venues!
A bit unexpectedly I find myself moderating a panel this Friday at the Stadt Nach Acht conference in Berlin! πͺ© However, I'm very excited to be part of a panel with the purpose of introducing nightlife pioneers across Europe - shining light on their exceptional work and showcasing their unique projects π₯ so if you're attending the conference, do come to listen and be inspired on Friday 16:00 in House of Music! Or if you happen to be in Berlin this week then let me know and let's catch up, I'm in town until Sunday! βοΈ
Let's continue with the small series to introduce the magic Thrust Production has to offer β¨
Whether you're an artist looking to elevate your music career or a festival/venue seeking to create unforgettable musical experiences, it's good to have someone around to help you with making your dreams a reality. With roughly 20 years in the industry under the belt, it's a lot of experience, expertise and knowledge that can be shared and used. Also happy to share this knowledge in the form of lectures at schools and universities, as a public speaker or moderator at panels, or as a mentor for the ones interested in the industry and needing some support.
The live music industry is a dynamic and vibrant world, where talent and dedication come together to create unforgettable experiences. β¨ It's essential to recognise and celebrate the incredible women who play a pivotal role in live sector. Women In Live Music is a brilliant organisation supporting women in the live sector and with their Women in Live Music Awards they turn the spotlight on these fantastic women who help to make the magic happen! π₯
The nominations are open for few more days - until the 10th of November! I do encourage you to go and nominate the wonderful colleagues and friends who work in the live music sector for this recognition! π It's one way we can say to women who'll get the nomination that they've done a good job but also to bring more light to the diversity and inclusion at the backstage. Not to mention inspiring the next generation! β¨ Your nominations can make a significant difference, so don't hesitate to recognise those who inspire you. Together, we can make the live music sector more diverse, inclusive, and empowering for all. π€πΈπ₯

Moving cases between floors can be an utter pain but taking an elevator can be a load of fun as well! Simple things bring the most joy while on tour! π
Excited to be heading out to Berlin in few weeks to attend the .nach.acht conference β¨
Anyone else around in Berlin that week? π§ Let me know and letβs catch up!
π "Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon" Winnie the Pooh π
Therefore it's always great to have balloons at the festival production office because they immediately lift people's mood! π
Been around, posting but never really opened up properly about what is it that Thrust Productions does and works with! π«£ so hereby kickstarting a small series about to introduce the magic on offer β¨
The first group of services are all connected to touring π it's important to provide the artist and the touring crew with the best possible solutions, so that everything would run smoothly and nothing would be left for a chance. The more is covered in the advance the easier it will be on tour and we're happy to provide the detail-oriented experience for anyone we tour with! πββ¨
While planning for the rest of the year and looking at conference schedules, many wonderful memories from last year's Reeperbahn Festival came to mind. Here's one from one of the receptions, catching up with a colleague I hadn't seen in ages. The best part of all those conferences is always to meet all kinds of wonderful people in the industry but also to see and hear all the fantastic up coming artists! π€ Maybe catch up with you somewhere soon? π
π΅ Working in the stressful world of the music industry isn't always easy, and seeing the statistics on the mental health of our sector is quite terrifying. π People working in the music industry are more prone to mental health problems and are up to three times more likely to suffer from clinical depression... On , Clash Magazine has shared a resourceful article on the state of mental health in the music industry, along with many fantastic resources for help specific to our industry.
It's crucial to see this conversation gaining momentum, and hopefully, we are collectively moving towards a better sector that prioritises our mental well-being. π€ The music industry itself is the key to making positive changes. If you're reading this and feel like you'd like to talk to someone but don't know who, feel free to reach outβI'm here for you! π¬β€οΈ

It had been a way too long break from working in Estonia and also working on the production side of a festival. Taking with only the warmest of memories and a great experience π€
πΈπ€ Next up - Latin America! π€πΈ
Have already done two epic shows this summer with MANOWAR in Istanbul and Aarburg, but the adventure is just beginning! In one week, we'll be kicking off the Latin America leg of the Crushing the Enemies of Metal tour with the first show in exactly one week in BOLIVIA! π§π΄π₯ going to be one hell of a ride this one! π€
Who is heading to Tallinn Music Week? πββοΈ
Will be there for the entire week and would be great to catch up! Iβm quite looking foward to moderating our panel (I promise it will be interesting) on boutique festivals on Saturday afternoon with , .production and . We also have a little reception prior to our panel, so if nowhere else then do come and say hi there π
