So proud of our very own, TJ Amaro.

He was awarded Most Bemedalled Athlete in the 2024 Palarong Pambansa and Most Ourstanding Swimmer in Boys Secondary.

He was Gold Medallist in all of his 5 individual events - 50m butterfly, 100m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, and 200m freestyle, setting a new Palaro record in both the 50m and 100m butterfly events.

He and his team also got the Gold for 4x100 medley relay (where they set a new Palaro record) and4x100 freestyle relay.

TJ is now an incoming senior high school student at San Beda College Taytay and is now representing the Calabarzon Region. But we are still extremely proud of him because he is a homegrown Nagueño and has, in the past, won many swimming competitions representing Naga City.

Congratulations also to all our Palarong Pambansa Athletes who did us all proud.

Sometimes when you can't find the right words, God still understands exactly what you mean.

The dismissal of all drug charges against her affirms what we have always known: that all these malicious allegations were baseless and false. Sabi nga: "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice." Today, that justice begins to bloom—and we keep faith that it will bear the truth, not just for Sen. Leila, but for the thousands of our fellow Filipinos who suffered under the cruel hand of impunity.

Thank you for your courage and grace, Sen. Leila. Salamat dahil hindi ka nagpatinag, at sa kabila ng panahon at kalayaan na inagaw nila sa'yo, patuloy kang naniniwala na karapatan ng bawat Pilipino ang isang lipunan na patas, malaya, at may dignidad.

I pray that this new beginning will be filled with the peace and happiness you truly deserve, as we continue to fight for a better and more just nation.

The Ninoy Aquino Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices and unwavering courage made in the name of freedom. On this day, we honor the legacy of Ninoy, whose determination to attain justice and freedom touches the hearts and minds of Filipinos.

Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino, Jr. played a significant role in the Philippines’ political landscape. As a prominent opposition leader during the administration of then-Philippine strongman Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. He condemned the regime’s corruption, human rights violations, and dictatorship.

With this, the advocacies of Ninoy for democracy and human rights gained him support of Filipinos who had been hoping for change.

In 1983, Ninoy’s assassination in Manila International Airport, now known as Ninoy Aquino International Airport, shocked the nation and stimulated public outrage—a circumstance that led to the downfall of the Marcos dictatorship.

His sacrifice became a cry of Filipinos demanding an end to the Marcos regime.

Eventually, the widespread protests and the unity of the opposition led to the People Power Revolution in 1986, which ousted Marcos, Sr. and paved the way for the return of the most awaited democracy in the Philippines.

On this day of commemoration, let us not only remember Ninoy's sacrifices but also devote ourselves to the values he held: justice, truth, and the unyielding Filipino spirit.
