West Fork - 6/22 Round 8 Recap

The good news: everyone is ok!
The call was made at 2:54p to clear the course for a lightning delay. We had no idea what was behind the buildings to the west and thought for a bit it might miss us entirely: we were wrong. It has now been confirmed that we rode out/survived an EF-1 “rain wrapped” tornado with winds at 97 mph with hail. When things became safe, we quickly realized that the course was now unplayable due to flooding and debris. The rest of the day was canceled and we are working to get everything adjusted and submitted to the PDGA, and refunding players appropriately.

The bad news: the Ace Pot is gone. Sadly the box containing the money was left behind in the chaos. There is cash to be found all over the course 😉. We also lost our Dynamic Discs tent, (most of) 2 tables, and some of the discs for players. All of these thing are replaceable and unimportant.

We are all thankful for your continued support of this series. Looking forward to see you all in July as our attention moves to Bird’s Nest (7/3 & 7/22)🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for better weather.

Course Update: Course is not in playable condition for the flex. Round 7 is moved to 6/12.

Players in tomorrow’s flex, going to assess the condition of the course later today and will send an email to all if the event needs to be rescheduled. As always we want to make sure the course is in safe condition to play. Stay tuned!
