Amazing how well this formula works. Can you break it?

A year of writing and not earning has left my pencils sharp, my wallet leather-light, and my shoeskin weather-worn, so I return to warm kitchens, fulfilling needs while kneading bread-dough breaking dawn.

Writing every day. Reading every day. Watching ideas unfold on the page as my bank account empties. Submitting story after story to magazines and anthologies. Facing seemingly ceaseless rejection with resolve. I will do this. I am doing this. This is what I want to do. This is what I do.
So I decided, why not make something of all this rejection?
Rather than just letting it eat away at my soul--as rejection tends to do--I am documenting the process. Soon to be (self) published on Amazon:
