Words can only get so far, we need real restructuring and deep investments to create true public safety. The eviction moratorium ends end of this month. As a tenant myself I know how difficult it can be for too many in my district. My councilmember has not been completely on board but let's show him CD15 wants commonsense permanent renters protections. These are common sense and will keep people housed! Let's make our voices heard tomorrow.

To remember that was disliked by a **vast** majority of Americans should tell you that to be inspired by him is not to subscribe to a particular political ideology or to live in an echo chamber of values that are popular by any group at the time or to subscribe to the politics of identity, but to courageously challenge ANY part of the status quo in *any* space that hurts *any* marginalized community, even if it's the most unpopular stance to take and you'll be ridiculed for it. The word radical may scare some of us but whether we like it or not, MLK was a radical for his time.

Today, in promoting with our students the documentary screening TOMORROW in Watts (swipe for details! And also come, all are invited), I visited my old classroom- Room 311, where a I taught and led our Science Dpt for several years. So many feels! And so many good memories!

You never know how spaces in life will affect you and my role as a teacher in that exact room and now youth mentor was and is probably the most transformative experience for me. Always, always fighting for a better world for the next generation.
