As we are approaching the start of the 2024-2025 school year, it is important to ensure your student athletes are fit, healthy, and ready to play.
Northwest Michigan Health Services is here to offer Sports Physicals for $35 to all middle and high school students in our MAPS Child and Adolescent Health Center, conveniently located within the Manistee middle/high school!

For the 2024-2025 school year, all students in middle and high school that are planning on participating in a sport are required to have a Sports Physical exam completed before the first day of tryouts.

We encourage you and your athletes to reach out and schedule an appointment by contacting our clinic at 231-887-4801. We are thrilled to be at your service Tuesday-Thursday from 8-4:30p with same day and walk-in appointments available.

The Lakeshore Badgers Hockey team gave back to their community by volunteering at Ludington Gus Macker this weekend, where they helped maintain the cleanliness of the beach through various tasks such as waste disposal and sandbag and barrier relocation. When they pulled up the tape from the courts they of course had to create an oversized tape balls.

Just a reminder that there is a mandatory parent meeting this Thursday, June 6, 7:00pm in the West Shore Community Ice Arena Conference Room for all families with a player intent to join the Lakeshore Badgers Varsity Hockey team this fall.

We will be covering a lot of information regarding what to expect and how to prepare for the season, as well as summer fundraising opportunities. 🌞

Lakeshore Badgers Hockey would like to congratulate Coach Luke Johnson for accepting the Coaching Director position for West Shore Hockey! In addition to continuing to coach our Varsity skaters next year, he will also be working with the youth hockey coaches at all levels to ensure smooth and successful transitioning from one level to the next—from 6u Learn to Skate all the way up to our Varsity program.

We are excited for this collaboration and believe it will benefit all of our youth hockey teams. Congratulations Coach!

Starting next season, all skaters who register with our Lakeshore Badgers Hockey team (or a West Shore Hockey team) will have the option to add a Stick and Puck Membership for only $65—this is valid all year while the ice is on at West Shore Community Ice Arena!

In addition, as part of our partnership with WSCC, all LAHBA Varsity players can add a WSCC Fitness Center Membership for just $50/4 months—can you say “off-ice training?” 👀

This is an unbelievable value that we are so grateful to be able to offer our skaters, thanks to the wonderful generosity of the West Shore Community Ice Arena.
