Greetings friends!
On my two month break, I wasn't able to accomplish as much on my home projects as I had hoped. Additionally, I will be having a medical procedure done this fall that will have me out of commission for 6 weeks. I need to get home projects done before my surgery date which all brings me to my announcement that unfortunately, I will not be available to create any bears or keepsakes until 2025. 🫤

I'm so sorry but hope to be back better than ever in the new year. ❤️🧸

I've finished up my orders before taking the next two months away from sewing to get some personal projects done in the sewing room and around the house. I'll be very quiet over the next few months, but will be sure to let you all know when I'm back and ready to take on some more orders. Have a great summer!

My last order before my summer pause was for an amazing person in memory of her mom. I know this loss and how hard it is to navigate life without your mom so my heart goes out to her and her family. 🧸❤️

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms who work hard and love hard everyday.

To those whose moms are no longer walking this Earth, I feel it too. It's a tough day for us, but her love is always here. If it's your first Mother's Day without her, nothing anyone can say will make it easier. I can only suggest thinking about the good times and the smiles they brought. 🩷

These handsome hoodie bears arrived home yesterday and I have been given the green light to post photos.

Rarely have I seen an article of clothing as well worn and loved as this one. It was so cool to feel the energy and know that so many memories must exist within it. This hoodie is now 2 medium bears and I'm so happy they made their way home. ❤️🧸

My client entrusted me with such very precious, memory filled clothing to create bears for her family in memory of a beloved Mom/Grandma as well as a Grandpa. Two very special people, very much loved and oh so missed. We can't bring 'em back but their love stays with us forever. So even when you may not remember exactly what color his eyes were or what her voice exactly sounded like, you remember the love you felt. That love is what gives you warmth on a cold, wet day or makes you smile out of nowhere. It was real and it doesn't leave you.

For the rest of us in the "now", be sure to spread your love out in thick layers over your loved ones, because someday you'll be gone and those you leave behind will need that love to get them through another day.

My client's dad was a farmer his whole life and when he passed she hung on to his overalls. Fast forward a few years and she finds me and asks me to create a bear for her and one for her mom. 🧸❤️. Thank you Kay!

I had the pleasure of making these bears in memory of my client's mom and her dad. She wanted a little bit of dad within the mom bears and so I made sure that her dad bear had a little bit of mom too. I was told that they lived for each other so it seemed fitting that the bears made in their memory reflected that too. Each mom bear has her own blanket derived from a much larger blanket.

My first order of 2024 has been given the green light for photos to be posted.

These bears + one pillow were made in memory of my client's dad. He was a loving family man and Disney enthusiast. Many lasting memories were made with his family at Disney. 🧸❤️

I'm now fully booked through the end of June.

Today I said goodbye to my kitty Sasha. It was a really tough goodbye and I will miss her until we meet again. 💔

Loss and grieving of pets is just as real as the loss of our family. Sometimes we're closer to them than we are to people. My pets have seen me through some pretty tough times. Sasha was with me for 18 years. I adopted her from Clark County Humane Society, Wisconsin when she was about 6 months old in the fall of 2005. She loved to be told what a pretty girl she was. Her last year and a half wasn't easy and she was struggling to get around just too much. I'm thankful she doesn't need to feel pain or struggle up and down the stairs.

I'll miss you pretty girl, be sure to tell Barkley and Lola that I miss them everyday. 🌈🐾

Imagine

Working with a bereaved parent is very difficult for an empathetic person such as myself. My heart aches for the parents. They have experienced the unthinkable. Their child has crossed over to the other side. Sometimes it is expected but sometimes it is not. Imagine, not having a last goodbye or an I love you. Realistically, I hope our children know how much we love them, but imagine not getting that chance to say that one more time .

My client was referred to me from another bereaved parent. I'm so thankful we connected, because a glimpse into the life and accomplishments of her daughter Re*****on Viney was truly a chance to know what it means to soar. Re*****on touched the clouds and achieved some pretty amazing goals in her life here on earth. Re*****on empowered women in a male-dominated career and her family continues to do so with her legacy. A beautiful soul inside and out and now flying high with the angels.

A few things to know/consider before reaching out to place an order...

1. First come, first serve. I will be taking orders as they come in to me.

2. Maximum number of bears per order is 4 medium bears or the equivalent. Example; if you're looking for Large bears, I'd cap that at 3, if you're interested in Small bears I'd cap that at 5, etc. **I'm not happy about doing this, but there are so many people waiting and my pricing is so low that I would only be able to get to a couple of people's orders before the end of June because there are typically a large number of bears in each order. This way I can get to a couple of people per month rather than a couple of people in 4 months.**

3. Please contact me through email or Messenger on my professional account rather than my personal account.

4. When you're placing your order, please let me know up front what you'd like to have made - pillows, bears, ornaments, etc. so I can start prepping ahead of your order.

5. 2024 pricing will be updated this weekend and all orders placed for 2024 will be subject to that pricing. I will have to increase prices but not substantially.

6. Booking today will be for orders to be made in March 2024 and after. January and February are booked.

As a reminder to all of my dedicated followers, I work a normal full-time job and make bears on a limited basis in my spare time. I enjoy making them, but I also enjoy spending time with my family and have home projects that need to get done. By committing to making eight bears per month, this will allow me the ability to do both.

Please know that each bear takes approximately 4 hours to make. Sometimes a little bit more, sometimes a little bit less, but on average 4 hours. I don't make these bears for monetary gain, I make them to give comfort, mostly to those mourning a loss but also for those who are holding on to a memory.

I will post as soon as a month is booked and we're on to the next, and finally when they are closed again.

I'll be officially accepting orders for 2024 starting 12/15. I'll be committed to dedicating time to create approximately 8 bears per month. At this time I've booked out to the 3rd week of February so any new orders will be created in late February/early March.

I'm very humbled by the number of people who have asked me to create bears for them and very honored that you have chosen me and waited for me to be ready to accept new orders. 💛

Starting 12/15, I will take new orders on a first come basis, and will book out through the end of June at which point I will be taking a pause from bear making in July and possibly August, but intend to pick back up after that.

I wanted to thank everyone for your patience while I'm finishing up these last few orders and start fresh in the new year.

For those of you who look for signs, those small nods from the universe to point you in the right direction, then you'll understand why my client and I connected. So many little signs pointed us towards each other. I believe I was meant to make these keepsakes for her.

A mom grieving the loss of her child will grieve forever. This child with a smile that if you saw it, you'd find yourself smiling too.

The bears, so full of sunshine and love, have been gifted to most of their intended recipients and I've been given the green light to post photos. I'm including the photos that my client shared with me that were taken at her daughter's memorial site. Those photos make the bears that much more special.

Words can't express how emotionally moved I was in creating these memory bears and knowing that this beautiful and kind soul lived among us, if only so briefly. A soul so bright that her memory will shine on in our hearts always.

I've been eagerly awaiting for the green light to post photos of these pillows I've made for my amazing client Leslie in memory of her very missed dad. This was a second order and made from mostly leftover material plus a couple of extra shirts.

There's a little something extra on the back of one of the pillows. I had a very strong voice in my head telling me to put these song lyrics on it. Specifically the verse and chorus. When the universe tells you something, you should listen.

My clients had this made in memory of their grandpa and gifted it to their dad for his birthday. 🧸🥰

This bear made its way home to Atlanta, GA this past week. In memory of a very loved and very missed Mom.
