More murals please! This lovely customer was originally looking at mural wallpapers but after discussing how hand painted murals are completely customisable and unique she put all her faith in us to come up with a design and colour scheme for the whole space! Thank you for having such faith in us, I had so much fun!!

Hi everyone, we are Emma and Monika from Emika Decorators, two friendly hard working mums with a passion for painting! No job is too big or too small. If you fancy a spring update for your home we would love to pop round for a chat and to quote.

I must admit kids bedrooms and especially nurseries are my absolute favourite rooms to decorate! Can’t wait to find out whether it’s a lucky baby boy or girl who will be sleeping in this room when they arrive in a few weeks time! 🥰.

Finishing off with a returning customer. It’s always nice to get to the end of a longer project but sad to say goodbye to our clients for the last time!

Why not be a bit bold with colour? This is actually my brother in laws bathroom. He was going to play it safe with a boring colour that would have made the room cold and uninviting so I said I would paint it for him if he let me help he choose something a bit more dramatic and he is so pleased I did! The room is now warm and inviting, which every bathroom should be in my opinion. And now he is letting me come up with ideas for the rest of his house, I feel a few mood boards coming!

Well we certainly celebrated my 40th Birthday in style! It’s quite nice to not be covered in dust and paint every now and then! 🤣

How is it our 2nd Birthday already, this year has really flown by! We feel so lucky and blessed to have worked for some absolutely lovely people, people we genuinely now think of as friends not just clients, people we have laughed and sometimes even cried with. I think it’s easy to forget sometimes that re-decorating your home can be an emotional process for all sorts of reasons but to be told ‘you’ve helped me more than you will ever know’ is an honour and something we hope to be able to do for more people for many more years to come. As good as new! This room definitely put up a fight but after a hell of a lot of sanding and filling and the even more sanding we are really pleased with the final result and more importantly so is our client. We do love a challenge!

All better now. This GP Surgery waiting room was desperately in need of some tender loving care. The outdated fake wood panelling certainly put up a bit of a fight but the room is now completely unrecognisable and ready to welcome patients again!

It’s been a very busy year for us and we couldn’t have got through it without everyone’s love and support. We really do seem to only work for the nicest people who make our job a joy!

Making a house a home. The best part of our job is helping our clients feel at home. Our lovely client needed to move closer to her family but her new house needed some work to make it feel like her home, work we were more than happy to do for her. She now has three rooms that suit her taste and personality so much more.

It’s Emika’s first birthday and what a year it has been! When we decided to start a new business in the middle of a pandemic we didn’t in our wildest dreams think that in our first year we would decorate 55 rooms for 22 clients. We would like to thank every one of you from the bottoms of our hearts for genuinely being the loveliest people to work for and for making our first year an absolute dream come true for both of us. Sometimes what’s on the outside counts too! We needed factor 50 on to paint the new render of this beautiful extension on what was the hottest day of the year so far, but it was well worth it!

A little ray of sunshine. After having a new extension built this client needed their extension to fit in seamlessly with the rest of the original hallway. We absolutely love the mustard yellow and the blush pink downstairs toilet fitted into the colour scheme beautifully. The freshly oiled oak doors really finished the space off. One very inviting, warm and happy hallway.

We really do have the loveliest, most thoughtful clients, we are so lucky 😊 xx

Really enjoying the company of our little helper this week, as long as she doesn’t get too close to the new paint work! 😂. Those eyes, no one could say no to a quick cuddle! 🥰

Pretty in Pink. This was a beautifully subtle shade of pink that really warmed up this bedroom and en-suite. Very pretty!

Perfectly purple. The clients still loved the colour of their dining room, it just needed a little freshen up and is now perfectly purple again!

We were big fans of this one! This annex room had been the clients son’s bedroom and now they had all left home they wanted to turn it into a pretty guest bedroom. They collect beautiful decorative fans so we designed and hand painted aa pretty little fan motif to frame the bed.

We really do have the loveliest clients and we are so very grateful to every one of you. You have made starting up a new business during a pandemic a lot more enjoyable and certainly a lot less scary than it might have been and we can’t thank you enough for that!

What does a painter decorator do on her summer break? She starts re-decorating her own home of course! 😂. My youngest is in the smallest bedroom so we nicked a little bit of the space under her sisters bed in the next room (after checking it wasn’t a supporting wall of course) to create a cabin bed space for her which gives her more floor space to play. And thanks to my husband for convincing her she wanted a castle in the sky to go with a rainbow I’d already done on the opposite wall it all took much longer than planned! 🙄. I did really enjoy painting a moon and twilight sky inthe bed area but I had such a neck ache the next day, not easy working in little spaces! 😂.

If you were a flower, I’d pick you. Now baby Jasmine has her own mural to go with her big sister Poppy’s pink mountains. Painting these Jasmine flowers really put me in my happy place, I completely lost track of time! Thank you so much and Jon for asking me to design this mural and for trusting me with making Jasmine’s room as special as she is. And whilst I was in baby Jasmine’s room Monika was bringing some life to their guest bedroom with a lovely fresh green that really bought the outside in as their home is in the most beautiful setting.
