Food & Music, no better way to wrap up this week!

Tonight I'm teaching my second Kids Cooking Class and Friday I get to sing at one of my favorite care homes, followed by a great Open Mic Night.

A talented friend does an amazing cover of this song. The first time I heard her sing it, I was drawn to it. The lyrics, the story, the raw sound of the guitar, it’s just so good.

At this years HUCO songwriters retreat, this book was talked about quite a bit.

Never have I read a book that asks you to sign a 12 week contract with yourself but here we are!

Week 1 in progress and I have really enjoyed the writing challenges/activities. Digging deep, thought provoking, a little silly & a little sad.

HUCO Songwriters weekend recap.

It’s always hard to put into words how incredible this weekend is each year. We got to learn from Sav & Katie from The Accidentals, have an excellent showcase at the Port Austin Community Theater, enjoy another soothing Sound Bath from Beth and I got to co-write a song with a good friend. Always a big shout out to Nicholas James for your hard work & dedication to this event.

Another amazing year in the books.

I returned home with an inspired full heart ♥️

Matty B & I will be at Caro's Relay for Life event today from 4:30-6. (This event runs from Noon-9pm) If you are able to come support this amazing cause, please do! It's held this year at the Tuscola Fairgrounds.

Sunday, I'll be at Kohl Farms with Lora Dale. It's Rally at The Farm with Classic Cars, the Retail Barn, Food & Music.

It's been a busy few weeks as we transition into our fall routine with school, sports & work but Ive got a couple wonderful shows coming up this month.

I'll be wrapping the month up with one of my favorite weekends of the entire year at the HUCO Songwriters Retreat!

It’s truly a beautiful thing when you experience growth. When you recognize it & appreciate it.

This summer has been wonderful season of growth for me musically. I have had so much FUN these last few months.

In this growth, I have found a way to take much of that self doubt, pressure & fear off of my shoulders and replace it with happiness, confidence & joy!

I have tried new things…and failed 😄 but I’m not beating myself up about it like I use to. I recognize that failing is how we get better. How we improve for the next time we try.

I am proud of my failures, I’m proud of my efforts to keep trying and I am SO PROUD of my growth! 🌻

It's Friday & that means its Frankenmuth Family Fun Night!!

From 6-9pm, I will be back at the Covered Bridge Shop (right across from the Bavarian Restaurant) with Matty B rocking on the guitar.

TONIGHT 🤩 I have the incredible honor of playing with my son, Branson! He has been practicing & is ready to sing all his favorites for you!

We will be at the Covered Bridge Shop from 6-9pm.

Come show Branson some love as he performs for the first time in Frankenmuth.

Saturday Aug 5th, Lora Dale and I will be in Port Hope at Lewisville Smoke from 6-9pm with a variety of pop, classic country, classic rock & originals.

I know its only Monday but I'm already looking forward to Friday!

I have taken the month of July off from performing.

As much as I love playing music, it’s even more important that I make solid time for my family.

We have done a little traveling, gone to support some of our favorite musicians, we love shopping at the farmers markets, tending our garden & enjoying the Michigan summer.

August is already booking up fast so I’m going to cherish the rest of this month ✌🏼

What a wonderful evening playing at the Marlette Farmers Market 💚 Thank you so much for having me.

I brought home a bag full of local goodies & a bouquet of lavender from my new friend.

Another fantastic Porch Fest in the books!

I had the weekend off of performing but these two took the stage in Bay Port for Kiddie Karaoke and had a blast!!!!

They are already planning what songs to sing the next time we can make it up.

Got little ones that love to sing? Kiddie Karaoke happens every Saturday from 3-5 at the Bay Port Inn 🎤

What better day than my birthday to share that I’ve been given the awesome opportunity to play at the Marlette Farmers Market on June 29th.

I considered pulling a Drew Barrymore and posing as a high school student so I could attend this camp 😄 but luckily, I got hired to help put the event on. I’m so excited for the next 3 days!! 🎭🎬🎤

I enjoyed the show & after watching it, I was inspired to write my own song that I thought Billy & Daisy would sing.

It’s called ‘Who We Are’ & I can’t wait to play it for you this summer.
