Some of the competition from Lotus Club DTC yesterday. We just found out from the car’s previous owner that we were trying to launch the car in 2nd gear which is why we were crawling off the line…. Can’t wait to try 1st gear!!

New race car has just arrived. MNR Vortx R1. 485kg with Yamaha R1 engine & sequential box. Similar power to weight ratio as the Birkin but a lot safer. First shake down will be Lotus DTC on Sunday.

Another fantastic day at Lakeside DTC with Lotus Club QLD. Callum managed to win both layouts which was a solid effort against his nemesis Calum Ballinger & Gideons Formula 1000 race car. Unfortunately we only got two runs in on the second layout as I broke the car!!!

Another great Khanacross at Lakeside DTC with Skid Control. Had 3 MacLeods racing this time with Oscar doing his first ever track day. It rained pretty much all day & was super slippery but managed to get 7th & 4th on the two layouts. The old fella was around a second slower.
Big day at Lakeside DTC with Lotus Club QLD & ICC with over 45 cars. Weather was very wet with only a few dry laps with some very quick cars. I placed 2nd with the old fella placing 4th.

New addition to the family. Not a race car but a beautiful cafe cruiser. MX5 NA Clubman. 186 made but only 8 in black. This is the only one built in 1995.

Last track day of the year with Lotus Car Club. The old man took the chocolates on track 1 but got pipped on track 2 by the insane Lotus 420 Final Edition.

Another great day with Skid Control. Thanks to all that put the day on. 1st & 2nd first layout & 1st & 3rd on the second layout.
Congrats to Dylan Cothill at Skid Control for being the fastest ever Nissan GTR around lakeside raceway!
60.4 on clubman layout.
First time out at QR. Managed to crack a 57.6 on the sprint circuit and a 60.4 on the clubman layout.

Great day out at lakeside DTC with lotus car club. We finished 1st and 5th on the first track and 2nd and 5th on the second track. Keen to get back out again.

After regrettably selling my old NC mx5 (my first car), I’ve decided to get another with all an extensive modification list and is intended to be used as a daily/secondary track car. Let’s see how long I keep this one.

Awesome day at lakeside on Saturday. We placed P1 and P5 on both layouts out of about 55 competitors. Thanks to Skid Control for the day.
Huge thanks to McGarry Motor Racing for letting me race the Clio at DTC today.

New car to replace the astra! This is a 1992 Mazda mx5 which is fully original. Many plans ahead for this car.
