Blue Steel Fab, LLC
We offer Mig/Tig/Stick welding services in our shop or mobile, along with CNC plasma table services
Another one finished up and headed out the door!
"Hot box" rework with a new lid and cnc cut pattern to match the hammer bit spline, and also a cnc cut fork attachment to pick up and move these bits around without a strap.
Now it's off to do some carbide and another stabilizer π¨π½βπ
π₯ Current shop projects π₯
Burn box for popping carbide for scrap that needs revamped after years of use and partial patches being put in that now need to be removed and welded properly.
Switching from 2 burners to 3 new tube burners to gain more heat to speed up the process, along with a lid designed to fit the pattern of the hammer bits to close up the gap as much as possible.
Then next on the list is another stabilizer that needs roughly an inch of material added to get back to the proper O.D.
Today was a day of throwing about 30lbs of mig wire, and hardfacing wire onto this stabilizer along with cutting out a custom bow hanger on the plasma table π¨π½βπ
While we didn't have the best base on this stabilizer to start with, the finishing product turned out pretty well.
Working with the BIG boys this week.
17" stabilizer in for a buildup back to the proper O.D. along with a second identical one.
We cut a new gauge ring and got right to work π¨π½βπ
This is a pretty cool project that I got to be a part of.
This is going to be a conex house enclosed completely by glass with glass floors, a glass walled elevator and a show room for supposedly 1 of only 3 made original Jaguars.
Stabilizer build up and another stabilizer "return to stock" after an o.d. change was done to centralize in another well π¨π½βπ
Wrapped up the gooseneck tail and ramps today, and also tested it out considering the identical machine will be loaded onto this trailer.
Now it's time to redress some mills and blades π¨π½βπ
Current shop project π¨π½βπ
Removed all of the wood on the dove tail of this gooseneck, and replaced it with angle iron while adding extra bracing to support the weight of a skid steer being loaded. Next is beefing up the ramps and using the plasma table to cut out some new brackets.
Finished with the reskin on this dump bed after hours of gouging, grinding, cleaning, sweeping, and welding.
The original floor was only 1/8 plate, but it was beefed up just a π€π½ to 3/16 plate so it can take a little more abuse without adding more weight.
Side mount fabricated for Blue Collar Pool Service for their spreader bar, and a dump truck bed being re-lined after numerous holes were put through it from rocks and general wear and tear.
Updated! Please follow the instructions! We will be going live with the raffle this week!
And here we go! It's time to start building a schedule for our new to us piece of equipment! Next week we will have our brush cutter attachment, and will be on the hunt for a harley rake as well.
What is it that we could help you with? Reach out and let me know!
While I've been plugging away at the schedule, this has been brewing for a long time and has finally come to an end.
Skid steer work including dirt, gravel and brush hog work will be added to our list of things we can do for you!
After routine maintenance is finished, we will start offering some services for the local area until we build up an inventory of attachments to better suite your needs!
It's been a busy day.
Bolted up the compressor piping, made some modifications on a concrete form, repaired an aluminum form ring, and still got some cnc work accomplished. πͺπ½
π₯ EDIT π₯
Once you have liked and shared this post please comment and say you have done so! If you are not following the page, I cannot see who is sharing this post!
I've had a ton of interest in doing another raffle for one of our custom fire pits, so stay tuned πΊ I will be doing yet another raffle, and will more than likely continue to raffle off these fire pits throughout bonfire season π₯
While 25 of the spots of the raffle will be purchased, I will also be adding 5 extra spots for those who like this post, follow my page, and share this post!
The randomly chosen people will be announced at the time of the raffle going live.
Don't miss out on your chance for a cheap, or potentially free fire pit for your upcoming fall get togethers!
It's a great feeling to finish the final weld on a project, and look back at how it all came together. With an obstacle around ever every corner, and through every wall, I'm happy to say this one is welded out π¨π½βπ
Flying through all of this scheduled work to get right back on track and meet deadlines that have been set π¨π½βπ
12" pipe has been internally coated and painted, and is ready for install β
15 wall braces welded out and ready to me shipped out and installed β
Pump racks built and delivered to Weir High β
And continued fabrication for the new units at Weir High as well ππ½
No matter the workload, we'll get you taken care of.
It has been a busy past few days between getting this 12" jobs ready, pulling measurements and getting the pieces welded out. And yes, the fl**ge is supposed to be rolled
Thankfully on the last weld I had some help, or it would have taken twice as long. Now it's off to be painted and internally coated.
On top of that, we got the fire pit raffle winner John Muellers fire pit finished up π₯
Now that phase 1 is done for the 12", once we get it installed it will be time to knock out some more welds π¨π½βπ
