It’s one of those snuggly inside days and plenty more are coming.
I always found it impossible to snuggle like this when there were bored kids around. But doesn’t it look enticing!
How about getting your kids to cook for you without your help? That’s the aim of Cooking Clubhouse.
1. No/very little parent involvement required.
2. Kids cook actual meals so take the night off from the daily grind.
3. No driving to classes and added schedules.
4. Fun interactive and animated courses for kids online before they hit the kitchen.
5. Shoosh… all aligned with the Australian Primary School Curriculum.
That’s right! Rest while your child does the work.
Now THAT is entertainment.

Some days just feel like this.
Have you ever seen your children excited about vegetables?
If yours are like mine, it’s not likely.
Research shows that when children cook themselves, they are far more likely to eat and enjoy them!
All out recipes have vegetarian options.

Just take a look.
It’s the easy way to get your kids cooking nutritious meals with no/very little parental input required.
When COVID hit the shores of Australia and we were all locked in at home, I realised just how useless my teenage children were in the kitchen. I mean, they couldn’t boil an egg.
While they spent their days sitting around complaining of boredom, I found myself cooking three meals a day, helping with schoolwork, working from home, walking the dog, staying on top of the washing, keeping an overused household tidy and all the other things that every parent went through during lockdown. Wasn’t it exhausting?
When I asked them to help, it ended up easier to do it myself. SO much complaining, procrastination and argument. I did however, pat myself on the back for having two teens that were right on track for the teen stereotype: Moody, sleeping, mobile gazing, eating machines.
I thought to myself ‘How did I get here?’. ‘How did I enable such life skill short children?’. I have always prided myself on not being a hovercraft parent however, I realised I had done everything for them and created little people who could not fend for themselves.
Ah if I could have my time again.
That discussion with other mothers who had ended up in the same sinking ship, led to the creation of Cooking Clubhouse. An online cooking school that teaches children how to cook WITHOUT effort from the parent. Aimed at children 5-12 years, Cooking Clubhouse teaches children how to use kitchen tools, how to cook nutritious meals for the whole family and even… how to shop for the meal groceries! And no, I don’t stand in front of the camera. They get enough of teachers infront of them blah, blahing away. I have a team of animated characters to do all of that. They are fun and funny.
To the children, it is just heaps of fun with little personality driven characters helping them along. But to the parent, it is a dream come true.
1. Join the club! Membership includes a monthly cooking kit, digital bonus recipes and activities and an online community.

Food has the power to bring people together, to bring joy and laughter and create a shared experience. Cooking Clubhouse fosters feelings of competence and pride… and give the parents a break.
Take a look. It's a great present for the new year!

"I love Cooking Clubhouse! Last night my children cooked sticky chicken. It didn't quite look like this but it was super delicious and I didn't lift a finger. Not even to wash up. Thank you Mittsy and crew!"
