I did it! Yesterday, against all my doubts and insecurities, I followed my heart and became a certified REFIT instructor!
Thursday night, the founders of REFIT came to teach an experience class, and boy was it an experience! It was the most fun I have had in a long time and the energy was fire! They mentioned that they would be holding an instructor training class Saturday, and I felt God speak to my heart. I thought about it Friday, had a lot of doubts, talked to hubby and my REFIT Aunties (as I like to call them), and made a last minute decision to follow my heart and go for it!
Saturday, I left before the sun came up and drove to Durham to attend a day of instructor training. When I tell you it was the best day…y’all, my cup is overflowing!! REFIT is so different from any other workout class or program. I don’t even like to call it a workout, it is an experience that combines great music with powerful moves that just feels like a ridiculously fun party! The best part is that it is literally for everybody…yes, I mean EVERY BODY! It’s doesn’t matter who you are, what you look like or believe in, the community around you is so uplifting and accepting! I am so proud to be a part of the REFIT organization that embodies such incredible values, and I can’t wait to start my journey as an instructor to pour into the lives of others and bring them joy!!
I am so grateful to my friend for introducing me to the class, and to my instructors (aka REFIT Aunties) for taking me under their wing. I’ll be helping them teach their class to start, and hopefully one day in the near future I may start my own class!
If you’re interested in attending a workout experience that combines positive music & fun moves, joins us at 5:30 every Tuesday & Thursday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in KM!! You won’t be disappointed 💛
✨Stay tuned for a curtain hack on how to hang plain curtains to look pleated!
When theres no other option than to place the bed in front of a window, you make it the focal point! Typically, I wouldn’t place the bed in front of a window, but in our master it was our only option. So I hung the curtains high & wide for a dramatic backdrop, and I just love how it turned out!
