Hello Bridgeport community and surrounding towns. Thank you for liking this page during the last election. After an election.,Things usually get quiet as people get burnt out and they need a little rest. Bridgeport really needs to change. I think we all know that. There is some important action items coming down the pike where a strategy to begin to undermine the status quo can be established. There are two main issues in Bridgeport politics, that if properly changed, can change the whole landscape. The first of those is the upcoming election for those who would be a member of the Democratic town committee. The other is getting the situation of the absentee ballot’s under control. None of this should be a last minute thought. Meaning when you have time on Side you can move it through in a more thoughtful and non-reactive way. So with this page and with the help of other groups and Bridgeport collaboratively working together for the same goal we are going to slowly begin to use this page again. So please stay tuned and if we post anything that’s important, we’d appreciate it if you would give it some love and share it. Thanks. To those who may live in a surrounding town, who owns a property in Bridgeport, but cannot vote in Bridgeport, we would also ask you to become more active in this process. You may not be able to vote, but you do have an investment in Bridgeport, and you can stay involved you are needed and appreciated.Thanks.

This page will continue as an eye on Bridgeport and as a place for people to come together. I was thinking this morning that if you were to converse with someone who lives in a town outside of, say, Boston. That person would identify with the mayor of Boston. The reason they would identify with the mayor of Boston and pay a lot of attention to what happens in Boston is because what happens in Boston affects them. Boston is a major economic driver. Same with Providence. But the people outside of Bridgeport don’t seem to think that way because Bridgeport just limps a long year after year because it’s run by corruption. So we’re going to keep this page going and I ask you to invite friends from outside of Bridgeport as well so that they can get more involved. Obviously four years from now is a long time away, but a lot can happen also. In the best spirit we do hope we see Bridgeport do well over the next four years and we do hope that the mayor realizes that he is once again very fortunate to get this chance, Even though the way he got it was by corrupt means. We all know he didn’t actually really win this election. And I think he knows it too.Hopefully he doesn’t blow it like the last four years, and decide to run for the President of the United States this time. But with his ego, who knows. Right now he has a lot to prove with showing us how he can actually take the city he runs, put his focus back into it, and turn it into something good. Something a little bit beyond posing for pictures at election time.

Could’ve been Bridgeport.

A letter that recently went out to voters in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport. A letter like this does not disclose full truths and can be confusing to a voter who does not know the whole story, which is the point of sending out a half baked letter just like this. So we’ve created a letter that tells the truth. Thanks for taking the time to scroll down and read. If you’ve gotten something like this or know someone who has, please send us a message and we will post it here.

Let's go back to where it all began, and wear this for a minute. Do you remember? We do. The day that Ganim went into a church and apologized for failing the people who trusted him the most. Big move, right? Humble, right?

Has anyone asked themselves what that was exactly? Where did he think that up? Did it come from his own mind? Or was it a political stunt just to get support? Whatever the case, it worked. But here's the problem. There's a difference between saying you are sorry and making a true, honest and sincere amends. Making amends is something that people do when they are not only sorry for what they've done, but for when they have taken a brave inventory of their defects of character and are ready to clean up their side of the street and move forward with honesty and integrity to do the best job they can possibly do.

Anyone can say they are sorry for something they have done to hurt another human being, but to make true amends means that the offender has a true intention to never behave in that way again that would hurt another. They are essentially amending their behavior.

If you know of anyone in recovery, it's an essential part of the twelve steps used for people who suffer from addiction like alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, s*x addiction, cheating, whatever.

On this page we are not against second chances, as a matter of fact, we lean towards thinking that a true redemption story is a beautiful thing.

The problem with this redemption story is that it never really got off the ground. I think that most of Bridgeport would agree that this stunt was political, or that the person in question really was not truly recovered enough to be running our beautiful Bridgeport and its people. Why? Because the minute he got back in the saddle he was off to the races and running for Governor. Boom. Big. Huge. Slap in Bridgeport's face. And many people were very hurt by that.

So that's it. End of the redemption story, let's all move on and say we all learned. But he doesn't get a third chance,

When you have a city like Bridgeport that needs so much focus, attention, innovative and creative thinking to turn it around to a place where all of its citizens can benefit from what it could truly be, you don't step off of the helm and run for an office that you would no way of attaining anyway. Not only was it reckless, but it was delusional.

So as we are going back to the polls tomorrow, let's contemplate on that alone. Not to mention everything else that's been going on.

[...] apparently, he walked into an African-American church on New Year's Day. Finch, as a state senator in 2002, was among a small group of city Democrats....

We have a true Rebuttal situation coming your way this evening. It involves a letter that was sent out to residents in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport from a certain member of the DTC, which is full of misleading items that could mislead an undecided voter into voting for the status quo and the status quos' entourage, aka, the Bridgeport absentee ballot "machine". We've looked over that letter and come back with some facts of how things have really been going in Bridgeport over the last 4 years. Stay tuned. This could be aimed at anyone, young or old, and it’s scary as all get out.

If you want to beat Ganim you have to get out to the polls. Of the amount of absentee ballots that have been pulled, a large amount will be from the Absentee ballot crew, or as some call it, the machine. The same group that worked their magic in the primary.

So Bridgeporters need to rock and roll. We all have a right to vote. But imagine these sorts of nasty humans trying to take that right away from you? You’d be mad, right?
