Our families kicked off the first event of 2018 by donating books for a free library to benefit patients at Simon Cancer Center & decorating bookmarks to go along with the books! 📚We then went to the Power of Children exhibit at The Children’s Museum where we heard stories of Ruby Bridges, Ryan White & Anne Frank.❤️ It was a wonderful day!

At our next family event on March 4th, we will be collecting book donations to benefit patients at the IU Health Simon Cancer Center & creating uplifting bookmarks & tags with words of encouragement.️📚❤️ Please being new and gently used books for adults to read for enjoyment. No textbooks, medical books or children’s books. Novels are ideal. 📚Together, let’s supply a huge library for cancer patients and caregivers! ️See you next weekend!
Remembering this awesome event where our families made over 200 comfort kids for patients at Simon Cancer Center! ❤️We are so looking forward to kicking off 2018 with our first event "Power of Children" on Sunday March 4th from 2-4pm at The Children's Museum. We hope to make the same impact! ❤️
Over 200 comfort kits were assembled on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 as part of a family day of giving for Friends of IU Health. The event was held at the Indianapolis Colts Training Facility which allowed for fun activities after the comfort kits were assembled and get well cards were created. The comfort kits and get well cards will be given to patients at IU Health Simon Cancer Center.

Such a joy filled afternoon making lap blankets, writing holiday cards & decorating ornaments for Simon Cancer patients. So blessed to spend time giving back with these wonderful families! And we had some fabulous carolers as well! ❤️

We volunteer together as families to teach our children the importance of giving back. We also provide financial support to music & art therapy programs for cancer patients through our grant process. A wonderful evening at IU Health Lifeline - we tested night vision goggles, learned about IU Health trauma services from surgeon Dr. Walt Virkus, heard a first hand account from former patient Scott Moorehead and even got to try out the helicopter after it safely landed in front of us! Lifeline is an incredible service offered to Indiana residents! ❤️👩⚕️🚁👨✈️
Friends of IU Health is hosting an exclusive behind the scene tour of the Life line services utilized by IU Health for our current and prospective members. 🚁🍷🍴🚁
Guests will be able to see how the Life Line process works, sit in the helicopters, test out night vision goggles, and learn about life-saving equipment with our first responders.
We hope you can join us for this fun & unique evening - cocktails and appetizers will be served.

It is amazing to have a cosmetologist onsite at Simon Center Cancer to provide free wigs for cancer patients! We are so proud that our Friends of IU Health group was able to provide funding to the Complete Life Center from our 2016 donations to support this incredible service. We can't wait to support even more hours with our 2017 donations! ❤️❤️
