Handmade Traditional and Vegan Soaps from the Garden of England. Est. 2020
Settled on the final packaging. Still a couple of weeks of curing away from posting out the preorders but I'm pleased with the results.
Mail day! Huge thanks to for my new rubber stamp. This is for packaging, my 3d printed soap stamp from my buddy will come hopefully in the next few days but I'm super happy with this. Base made from reclaimed oak, the detail is delightful.
Fresh cut Traditional batch with Pine Needle, Cedarwood and Eucalyptus essential oils. Absolutely magical fragrance.
Tried a new colouring technique on this. The "Dorrell" is a short run custom fragrance batch requested by a dear friend although I should have five or six available when they are ready - Traditional (Lard, Castor, Canola and Olive oils) Bay Rum scented.
Soap-making is magical.
Built myself a mini studio from scratch. Pretty pleased with the results. What do you think?
Taking it back to basics. I've been enjoying trying out various colours and styles in the last week but I didn't want that to overshadow the whole idea of this - to make high quality handcrafted soap. I did a bumper Traditional batch - fragranced with Lime and Corymbia Citridora (Lemon Eucalyptus) essential oils. This one is strong, bright and delightful. A soap for helping wake you up in the morning for sure! Coloured with just a hint of tumeric, which gives delightful little red flakes when used sparingly. This is fresh cut, so will still go through a slight tidy up once we're a few weeks into the curing process but I never want to lose that handmade charm that appealed so much to me when I started.
Fresh cut Patchouli and Bergamot vegan batch. Swirls for days.
Testing a proof of concept for wrapping individual bars. Ignore my folds as I was rushing, and the stamp will end up being the logo. What do you guys think?
Question time - what would your dream soap bar fragrance be?
Would just like to say hello, welcome and thank you to all of you who have liked my page in the last few days. I am hugely grateful for the positive feedback and lovely words of encouragement I have had since starting this little project. Hoping some of you will try out my soaps in the not too distant future!
Stay safe, thanks again and remember -now more than ever- Wash Your Damned Hands.

Sliced this one a little early today.
Traditional batch - Lard, Olive and Sunflower oils with Sweet Orange, Lavender and Vetiver essential oils, swirled with activated carbon. You can see the colour difference between the natural areas where the soap still needs to dry. Looking forward to this one maturing.
Can't get over the generosity and support I'm getting for this little project. Today I recieved the gift of this almost unused vintage cheese slicer from a chef friend of mine. Cleaned up, works like a charm. Need to knock up a new foot for it but boy oh boy what a gamechanger.
Okay, this makes me smile.
A Traditional (Responsibly sourced Lard, Olive and Sunflower Oil) batch with Pine, Tea Tree and Rosemary essential oil fragrance. Natural colour on the bottom and top half mixed with activated charcoal. It's a real beauty!
Really pleased with the last three batches. Going to do something a little different with a Traditional batch tonight.
Vegan Batch - Rooibos and Ginger. Tried something a little different with this bar. Tilted the mould 45° and added the first half of the mix, then added some turmeric to the top half and poured that too. Looking forward to seeing how this matures.
Yesterday's Vegan batch - Coconut, Olive and Sunflower oils, a sprinkling of Tumeric for colour and fragranced with Cedarwood and Eucalyptus essential oils cut really nicely this evening.
I knocked up a another vegan batch today- Coconut, Olive and Canola Oil, with a Rooibos Lye solution and a little ginger. That can wait for tomorrow to be posted though. Today I am very excited to test run my new soap cutter. I shall post the results later!
Working on a Vegan batch tonight. Coconut, Olive and Sunflower oils, with Eucalyptus and Cedarwood essential oils for fragrance. It smells incredible!
Treated myself to a cheap wax stamp to test run how it would look and try out appropriate stamping times. The soap was a little on the soft side for both cutting and stamping and the logo is a little too small but I am so pleased with how this batch of Traditional soap has come out. Best batch yet!
The curing process has done wonders for the Masala Chai, Tumeric and Cinnamon Traditional batch. Gone from a dark brown to a lovely golden orange with flecks of red from the turmeric. Looking forward to slicing this tonight!
A batch of Marsala Chai, Turmeric and Cinnamon Traditional Soap curing tonight.
First batch of Traditional soap cut and curing before stamping and shaping.
