Incredible!! I had the pleasure of bringing many B-17 crewman to fly on a Flying Fortress and it was always a beautiful and emotional experience for everybody, including their families. It’s really great to see videos like this and it’s sad to know that these occasions are leaving us.

LIGHTNING FLASH!
This magnificent but little-known P-38 Lightning is nearing completion after a massive restoration initiative. The crew behind this rebuild have perfected the reconstruction of P-38 airframes as regular Classic Wings Magazine readers will have been following. This first completed airframe will soon be headed to a major museum in the USA. The restorers hold the world's largest P-38 parts inventory and have been able to provide a lot of new and used original parts from stock to support their restorations. And here's a news flash! They have just corralled enough ingredients to support the rebuild of a recovered jungle wreck that has been 'accumulating' in house over the years, so there is the option to deliver another P-38 to the right home in the future. One of the most charismatic aircraft in aviation history just became accessible, albeit in the most 'limited edition' sense!

Please pray for the crew and their families. Life is so very precious. Today we lost the beautiful B-17 Texas Raiders and a P-36 Air Cobra. The FAA will investigate but for now please join Ghost Warbirds and send a prayer. Story link below.
Two planes collide during airshow in Dallas Two historic military planes collided and crashed to the ground Saturday during a Dallas air show, federal officials said, sending plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky. It was unclear how many people were on board the aircraft or if anyone on the ground was hurt.
