Hey - are you confused, frustrated, or disappointed in your love life? Do you feel excessive pressure to be in or stay in a relationship? Do you feel there is no way to meet other Christian people nearby, and you don’t see potential at your local church? Or that there is no one to help you as you struggle in your current relationship? We are working on planning a comprehensive city-wide Relationship Emphasis Weekend in February 2024, and we would love to have you there! Think of the one person/s that have demonstrated their love to you. Now reflect how that compares to God's love in Christ towards us. It's pales in comparison.

Romans 8: says 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

It is almost taken for granted that if you are a Christian you will pray. But some have asked themselves, Why should I pray? Doesn’t God already know everything?

One answer given in 1 Peter 5:7 is that we are to cast all our cares upon Him, because He cares for us. The Bible wants us to know that God desires for us to share our worry, our concerns, our struggles, and everything we experience with Him, because He deeply loves and cares for us. He wants our greatest good always.

Today let us pray for:

Did you know there can be barriers that block us from receiving the full benefit of prayer? One of the greatest of these is cherished sin. Happy Monday SLAY Ministries family! It is our hope that you have all been (and continue to be) blessed. Though this page may have been quiet recently we have by no means been inactive, and so an update is more than due.

This past month saw most of our members participating with the Streams of Light Mission trip: packing, boxing, and finally delivering thousands of copies of The Great Controversy throughout St. Louis alongside many other volunteers.

On the vespers front Brother Dwayne Walton, Bible worker and relational evangelist from West County SDA has been leading out in a series titled Christ's Method Alone, that ends this Friday evening.

As we look to the near future there are two things we are excited to tell you about. The first is a volunteer opportunity. On June 26th the churches in our area will be coming together to provide some community health services free of charge. Volunteers are welcomed and needed whether or not they have a medical background.

In July we will also be kicking off a 21 day Daniel Prayer initiative. Stay tuned as more details are soon to come!
