With that being said, please stop by the financial literacy center so we can help you plan your budget for the Fall. If you receive grants or loans, we can help you budget to ease your financial stress. Feel free to stop by and ask us questions, we would love to help you!

Even though budgeting may seem simple, always prepare for setbacks. Overworking yourself may not be healthy, and most of the time things that are not in your control may happen (lost of job, medical bills, new child, new pet etc). So to help, make your budget slightly lower than what it is.

Anyone can apply for scholarships. Regardless of status, there are scholarships available for everyone on the MyCoyote site via Scholarships. One game other than “Cashflow” that is offered at the Financial Literacy Center is “Chess.” Despite being quite a serious game to master, playing chess casually shows plenty of benefits. According to Rebecca Joy Stanborough, MFA, an author at Heathline, playing chess can help with: developing perspective, improving memory, deepen focus, elevates creativity, boosts planning skills, Increases self-awareness, Protects against dementia, Helps ADHD, reduces panic attack symptoms and more! This information was also backed by Debra Rose Wilson, Ph.D., MSN, R.N., IBCLC, AHN-BC, CHT. So please, come and help yourself to a nice relaxing game of Chess!

Not enough time to download and set up budgeting apps? Try doing things the old fashioned way by listing your budget along with your expenses from necessities to disposable wants. Writing down and planning your budget and expenses will help you eliminate unnecessary expenses.

One way to manage debt is by using credit cards. When used responsibly and correctly, credit cards can be very beneficial. One looking into a credit card, be sure to look over the fees and interest so that you can avoid being in more debt. One of the games we offer at the Financial Literacy Center is “CashFlow.” Cashflow is game designed by investor, businessman, and self-help author Robert Kiyosaki to serve as a tool for learning basic financial strategies and accounting principles. Playing this game helps people understand the importance of investing and money management so they can eventually rise to the top. Come give it a try at the Financial Literacy Center!

Anyone can apply for Financial Assistance! The application is simple and quick, you will just need to fill out info regarding yourself, and if a dependent, your parents as well. If you do not qualify for a grant, no worries! There are scholarships and other forms or Financial Assistance available! Need more help? Come on down to the Financial Literacy Center!

If you are barely getting into investing, one term you may have heard of is the “Stock Market.” But what is the stock market? According to James Chen, author of article “Part of How to Invest with Confidence: Stock Market,” stock markets are “venues where buyers and sellers meet to exchange equity shares of public corporations.” If you are looking to get into the stock market, be sure to do thorough research on which one you would like to invest in. You can also schedule a consultation at the Financial literacy center if you need more information.
