Jerry McKibben passed away on Veteran’s Day 2021 after a long battle with Dementia. The Harrisburg Education Foundation is proud to honor Jerry, by creating the Jerry McKibben Scholarship Fund. In 1973, Jerry began his teaching career in Harrisburg and also coaching at Harrisburg High School. After 20 years with the Harrisburg School District, Jerry retired. To honor Jerry’s legacy and his family, the Foundation is accepting donations to support future senior scholarships. The scholarships will be titled "The Jerry McKibben Scholarship". Donations can be made through the Foundation via online or by mailing donations to PO Box 524 Harrisburg, OR 97446. Congratulations Haiden Johnson & Leithan Briggs for receiving the Harrisburg Education Foundation's first Senior Scholarship.
Haiden Johnson will be attending Oregon State University in the fall and majoring in Civil Engineering. After graduating from OSU, Haiden would like to live in Colorado and put his civil engineering degree to use.
Leithan Briggs will finish up his business management degree from Linn-Benton/Oregon State dual enrollment program. His long term goal is to work as a Paramedic/Fire Fighter.
Congratulations to both of you, we wish you the best of luck with your future plans.

Emails went out to 2020 seniors with all the Harrisburg Education Foundation scholarship information. We are offering four $500 scholarships to Harrisburg graduating seniors. Application deadline is Monday. Any questions contact [email protected]

We are sorry to say that at time the PACNWRS event has been postponed. We will keep you posted if and when it gets rescheduled. Thank you for your support. I hope all of you are staying healthy.
PACNWRS = Pacific Northwest Reptile & Exotic Animal Show will donate $1 with a paid admission to the Harrisburg Education Foundation. The event is March 28th & 29th at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Albany.
*Harrisburg parents be watching in your children's folders as these postcards will be going home with them soon. Postcards are also available throughout Harrisburg schools, businesses and restaurants. You must bring a postcard with you to the event for Harrisburg Education Foundation to receive the donation.
Thank you to all who were involved in our kickoff event for the Harrisburg Education Foundation. It was a huge success this weekend, and we look forward to all the opportunities, innovative learning programs, grants, and scholarships this allows us to create within the Harrisburg School District.
