Mounir Lazzouni - The Modern Muslim Man
Helping Muslim men level up their bodies, minds, and lives... and consequently, their families, busi
Do you feel selfish when you start to hit the gym and prioritize your health?
A lot of brothers and sisters across our ummah feel the same way
Which is why the perspective shift and strategies I’m gonna share with you in this video are critical for the benefit of your family
Yes your family needs you to provide for them
But beyond just the money and service you give to your family and work so hard for…
Your family needs YOU
Your family needs a father & husband who is happy, healthy, and has energy
Not a burnt out, grumpy and overweight individual with a short temper
Your wife needs you to be present
Your kids need you to be patient and play with them, and set a great example as a proper ROLE MODEL because they grow up QUICK and at some point it becomes too late and the connection is much harder to build.
And a child who is disconnected from his father is more likely to become disconnected from his deen and from Allah.
Taking care of yourself benefits your family more than you realize…
The real thing that is selfish is using your family as an excuse to not be healthy… when in reality they should be the strongest reason you have to be the best you can possibly be
Be the man your family needs for the sake of Allah
When you fix your health, everything across your work and family changes
You’re more productive and produce more at work in less time
Which means more time and better quality time with the family
Because you’re healthy, happy, and have energy
So let’s inspire eachother to be better, starting with ourselves
Share with a brother or sister who needs to hear this iA and save this reminder for later when things get hard, so you can remember your reason to push thru the adversity and come out the other side a better man and a better Muslim.
Allah will always provide you with exactly what you need at the moment you need it most - as long as you have faith and always do your best,
Which is why this post has appeared in front of you right now.
This reminder sums up the best practices 1000s of Muslim professionals & entrepreneurs have used to overcome burnout, get twice as much done in half the time, and take charge of their physical, mental, spiritual, financial, and familial health,
I look forward to seeing it do the same for you iA.
Make sure to save and share with friends + family iA and follow for more daily reminders and tips!
How to workout in 10-20 mins and BOOST your energy instead of draining it
Best part is, when you train the way I explain in this video, your metabolism goes up which helps burn way more calories than cardio
In a fraction of the time
Which is why this works better than anything else for busy Muslim Professionals & Business Owners
Check it out and lmk if you have any questions iA!
As a Muslim businessman here are the best practices that will help you get 2x as much done in half the time
WITHOUT sacrificing your health, family time, or any prayers
Priority #1 - schedule your day around your prayers, not your prayers around your day
Tahajjud and Fajr get you up early so you can get deep work done and even squeeze in a workout… before any of your kids, clients, or team members are awake to interrupt you from either of these important priorities
Maghrib and Ishaa with the family help you wind down and set the example your kids need of a man who works hard and honors Allah every day
#2 - schedule your meetings in the evening and have strong boundaries on your time
You ever see the look of disappointment and irritation in your wife’s eyes when you’re checking your phone and answering texts, emails, and calls when you’re supposed to be present with the family?
Have you ever procrastinated on a big task for weeks because stuff kept ‘coming up’ (aka interruptions you lacked the boundaries to prevent)?
This is because you lack boundaries on your time
Your wife and kids deserve better
Your biz deserves better
Your health deserves better
You deserve better
#3 - be strategic in how you flow thru your day
Pray Fajr & eat
Deep work
Workout
Pray Dhuhr & eat
Meetings
Pray Asr
Family time, dinner, + Maghrib and Ishaa
Sleep
You’ll have to play around with this flow for you but stick to it and you’ll find your ideal state and stop being so chaotic + overwhelmed and instead find a flow state

Transformation Tuesday - From Belly to Abs featuring Brother !!!
How did this busy professional shred the belly & drop 15 lbs on the scale WHILE building slabs of muscle and revealing his abs
WHILE ALSO working 50-60 hours a week leading a team of 10 and running a business?
The first step is commitment
Nobody wants to commit and make a decision
But we all are making a decision whether you know it or not:
- You’re either deciding to be out of shape, have health issues, energy issues, confidence issues
- Or you’re deciding to better yourself daily & look after yourself - and be the man or woman you want to be
Heysum realized that he was DONE drifting and falling off from his goals because he would get ‘busy with work’ or ‘fall off his diet on the weekends’
Instead - he committed to making a decision to take action and be all-in no matter what,
No matter his obstacles and past excuses
No matter how busy he got
And to get back on track immediately Monday if he screwed up his nutrition on the weekend… instead of taking 3+ months off after one little screw up like most people do…
And guess what -
He’s got the results now mA
How did we do it?
Cont in comments:
It’s my firm belief that as a Muslim, we have a responsibility to present ourselves as a picture of success to the world
And to truly live it, too
Not only is it a form of Da’wah when others see what it means to be a high level Muslim Brother,
But it also improves your own confidence, energy, and quality of life
Imagine how it feels to walk into a room with your kids and have your kids take pride in the fact that you’re their father,
When they see how others respond to your presence
Imagine the level of impact you can have on your kids future when you’re setting the right example of confidence, health, success, and strong Iman
Instead of feeling weak, tired, stiff, and unhealthy…
Imagine the connection you’ll have with Allah (SWT) when you’re serving the world at your highest capacity,
Feeling focused and connected in your prayers,
And showing up to your day with optimal energy and health
Yet so many of us lead the opposite
We make excuses when it comes to exercise (work, time, kids, travel, etc.)
We practice 0 restraint whatsoever when it comes to high calorie cultural foods
Which, sure, we could enjoy in moderation with no issues
(I love food as much as the next guy)
Yet so many brothers excessively eat themselves into heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and blood pressure issues
So many of us die in our 40s and 50s from heart attacks, leaving our family without a father and proper role model
And while we’re alive, our kids don’t look up to us anymore…
Instead many of the youth look up to these pop culture figures they see on instagram, tik tok, and youtube…
And try to model what society tells them is a picture of success
Pulling them away from their deen
Pulling them down the dark path many of our youth face today
Only to find themselves miserable because they’ve lost their connection with Allah (SWT)
And many of them never make it back...
And the ones that do (Alhamdulillah), still struggle with the same health issues we do when they get to their 40s and 50s.
We have the power to lead our children to stronger Iman, better health, and greater career & business aspirations
By taking that leadership within ourselves
And it’s my firm belief that starts by building confidence and health in your body
It starts with you and me
And leads the future generations to come, on what it means to be a Modern Muslim Man
Strong Iman and steadfast on your deen
Eating clean and staying lean
And following a high performance routine
Across all walks of life
And if this isn’t enough motivation for you
Remember, Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an: ‘Do not let your own hands throw you into destruction’ (2: 195)
Our Prophet (SAWS) said (in regards to food consumption): ‘One third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his breath’ (Tirmidhi 2380)
So remember
There are 3 reasons to prioritize and value your health:
- Worldly reasons of more energy, confidence, and health, and how that impacts you, your family, and your work
- Divine command from God
- Example of the perfect picture of who man should be - our Prophet (SAWS)
So the next time you make an excuse about not having time, having some event coming up, or anything else that’s stopping you from taking action on your health
Remember those 3 reasons
Remember the fact I’ve got clients who work up to 80-100 hours a week fixing their health while still being the best parent, professional, and Muslim they can be (without missing family time, salat, or important priorities at work)
But rather, prioritizing their health enhances the other aspects of their lives
Take that small uncomfortable step to get yourself to take action on your health in shaa Allah.
Here’s how to:
- Speed up your metabolism after Ramadan
- Flush out the Ramadan & Eid Bloat
- Lose Weight and Instantly Optimize Your Energy, Productivity, and Focus

Meet Walid Halty - CEO of Colossus from Boston, MA
Walid lost 20 lbs in 90 days & got 6 pack abs,
WHILE traveling and running a fast growing company with 200+ employees
AND part of his transformation occurred during Ramadan of last year
Before he got there though… he was doing a lot of the same things you might have tried in the past
He had tried working out 6 days a week, twice a day…
Eating 1500 calories a day…
Cutting carbs…
Trying to keep his calories low so he could lose weight,
Yet he was stuck and not seeing progress…
Despite taking tons of action.
Walid is a DRIVEN Muslim Professional and all about setting a great example and leading from the front when it comes to his business
And he wanted to get in the best shape of his life
So he could know he was at his full potential and the strongest, sharpest, and best version of himself,
Instead of putting in a ton of work yet struggling to get results
So he decided to make a change
Fast forward just a few months later and Walid is showing up to his work day, to his meetings, and to his personal life looking and feeling like a champion
Leading from the front as the greatest version of himself
And he knows how to produce results in his body without draining time and energy away from business & other important priorities in life
When Walid came to us, again, he was only eating 1500 calories a day, training 6 days a week 2x/day, and not losing weight…
Now, he’s consistently eating 2200-2400, traveling, making business moves, and enjoying his life
Yet staying 6 pack shredded YEAR ROUND
Cont. in comments for the details on how he did it & got results during Ramadan while keeping his energy levels up 👇🏽
NUTRITION FOR RAMADAN
Salaam brothers and sisters -
Over the last few months I’ve had the opportunity to consult dozens of Muslims each week
Helping each of them get their bodies ready for Ramadan,
And today I’d like to share the top 3 helpful points that have allowed them to lose weight, improve their energy, and more.
What do I mean by ‘prepare your body for Ramadan’?
Well - of course the purpose of Ramadan is to do as many good deeds as possible, not necessarily to use it as a ‘weight loss hack’
But if I could show you how to lose weight AND have more energy, focus, and stamina
For taraweeh, prayers, reading Qur’an, and keeping up with your work and family duties during our Sacred Month…
Would it be worth taking 60 sec to read this post?
Here’s the deal -
In our cultures the most common 3 issues I see are:
- Struggles with Time Management between fitness, business, family, and salat
- Struggles with Nutrition, Portion Control/Binge Eating, and Staying Consistent with Healthy Eating
- Not knowing how to workout in a time efficient, safe way that doesn’t risk injury or waste your time
Now - on the nutrition side of things I’m going to share some Hadith later this week that will help you eat healthier and control your portions isA
As well as some knowledge on how to do so in the modern day and age
But here are the the top 3 strategies I’ve used with myself and my Muslim clients to give them:
- More time with family
- More productivity at work
- More energy and focus for their prayers, family, and work
- Consistent, sustainable weight loss
- And more.
Take notes and make sure to apply what I’m sharing with you today isA:
Step 1 - On the time management side of things
You have to time block EVERYTHING
People will make fun of you for being OCD with your schedule but it makes a massive difference
Way less stress, get way more done, and have way more freedom
Time block your 5 daily prayers AND tahajjud
Time block your meals
Time block your workouts
Time block specific action items within your business or career/work
Time block family time, taking your kids to school, and whatever else you may have going on
Time block free time to relax and recover
Time block 1 hour to meal prep on the weekend
Because failing to plan is planning to fail and if you’re running around eating whatever is convenient but have nothing healthy prepped…
There’s no way you’ll eat healthy
Speaking of which -
Step 2 - On the nutrition side of things…
Nutrition needs to be customized to your preferences, schedule, and genetics BUT
Some general principles apply
Eat low inflammation foods (cut out anything that makes you bloat or gives you brain fog/a food coma)
There are 4+ Hadith that support this which I’ll share later this week isA
But even for dunya reasons - you don’t want to feel tired and bloated all the time at work and with your family… and esp not in your prayers
Figure out your protein, calories, and macros
Find a sustainable enjoyable way to achieve this daily
This is my specialty so,
If you need additional help with that drop me a comment or DM,
I’ve consulted hundreds over the years and help dozens of Muslims each week with their nutrition, schedule, and more.
I also have some free resources that will help you with this isA
Including my 45 min deep dive ‘How to Eat Your Favorite Traditional Foods and Still Lose Weight’
Step 3 - On the workout side of things
Go for a 5-10+ min walk every day
Optimize your posture & technique so you don’t get injured and so you maintain functionality
Focus on whole body workouts to stimulate muscle growth 3x/week in 30-45 mins
This will improve your nutrient partitioning (in other words, more of what you eat goes to muscle, less goes to fat, intrinsic fat loss)
And building muscle will help boost your metabolism as well
Again, happy to help with any of the above
And I have a 30 page PDF that teaches you all about how to fix your posture,
Including videos and workout templates
Anyways -
Bit of a long post but I’ll start posting here more frequently isA
Alhamdulillah we’ve gotten hundreds of thousands of views on tik tok, instagram, and youtube with this content though so happy to share it here too
In shaa Allah if you need anything or need help with this

Let’s all get healthy and fit and take care of the body Allah has given us, treating it with respect just like the Prophet (SAWS) and Sahaba did with their own nutrition, health, and physical fitness.
Muslim Business Owners - How I Got Back In Shape While Running a Business and Working 63+ Hours/Week
Focus is your greatest asset
There are a lot of things that will pull you from your focus
Naysayers
Pleasure-seeking friends
Your own schedule and self-saboteur (often times shaytan will put the wrong suggestions in our head we must fight against) inside of your mind
I’ve had all of the above throw me off my path as well
And here’s what I’ve learned:
For the naysayers, you just gotta ignore them and use their challenge as fuel to take greater action and prove them wrong
You gotta block out and temporarily limit exposure with fun-seekers so you can focus on your goals
(So that once you achieve them you can have fun without the stress of being off track from your goals in shaa Allah)
And you gotta become a master of your schedule and your mind
Which means creating structure
(One of the best ways is to structure your day around salat,
Which automatically installs high performance routines inside of your life)
And being self aware enough to say Audubillah when you notice shaytan whispering in your mind,
And to reframe when you catch your own self sabotaging thoughts
That’s when you can create the focus needed to truly see success at the highest level
The difference between you and the man or woman you want to be and look up to isn’t them having 25 hours in a day or 8 days in a week
They have the same 24 hours, 7 days a week = 168 hours per week
But they use that time more wisely
And they’re more laser focused
And they’re a master of their own mind in addition to their schedule
So what I want you to do today is audit your time
Where are you slacking on results?
Where are you slacking on taking action?
What’s one thing you can do tomorrow and next week to fix this?
And if you need help with that audit, drop me a DM and let’s take charge of this process together in shaa Allah
Leave nothing to chance!
And keep taking action fam, never give up, may Allah guide us all, ameen.

Happy Monday, I have one question for you today -
How are your new years resolutions going?
There’s a high chance that if you’re reading this right now and you’ve gotten busy with working 40, 60, or even 80+ hours per week
Trying to balance your fitness with your career or business
That you may be starting to get off track
I’ve been there as well, and in this video, I cover my story
If you’re reading & watching this right now and nodding your head because you work a lot and it makes it hard to find time to work out and eat right… and you’re starting to struggle with consistency a few weeks into the year…
You gotta nip it in the bud right now and fix both your strategy and your structure with fitness
To truly make it both sustainable long term AND effective
Or 2022 will become another wasted year where you fail to achieve your fitness goals
You’re capable of achieving your goals but you need the right mindset and you need the right systems
Or you’re destined to fail just like most people (and possibly you) do every other year
I’m happy to help you achieve your goals
Because I want to see you win in shaa Allah
I want to see you reach your full potential
I want you to have the healthy and fit body of your dreams
And take pride of the fact you put in the work and achieved that goal
And everything else that’s going do for your confidence, your energy, your health, your life,
And most importantly - your integrity with the principles around health that we must follow in Islam
So if you need help with your fitness & health
Shoot me a DM right now and let me know what you need help with
And I’ll create either a specific content piece for you
OR I’ll just give you some personal advice + accountability
Let’s crush these goals fam - leave nothing to chance!
If you’re stuck in a plateau and can’t seem to lose weight (no matter how much you restrict yourself)
You need to read this post
Swipe left to learn how to fix your metabolism!
The only thing you need to succeed and take consistent action
Is to find a reason that is greater than your resistance
Then avoiding temptation and sticking to the right path becomes easy
Here’s a simple example of my mindset towards diet and nutrition:
My friend invited me to Indian food yesterday
While I like Indian food,
I also know that it makes me bloated, tired, lethargic, and feel like crap for 24-48 hours
(Because the gluten and dairy + low quality oils used at restaurants cause a lot of inflammation for me and for most other people)
It was easy for me to avoid temptation
Because being sharp, focused, productive, happy, and healthy are priorities for me in my business and my life
So it took 0 effort for me to suggest an alternative with some healthy sushi instead
What are you committed to overcoming this year?
DM me if you need any help
And share this with a friend who might benefit from hearing this, in shaa Allah.
As Muslims living in the Modern Day, we all want to be the best Muslims we can be,
With a strong connection to Allah
A great body - healthy, fit, & energetic,
A great business or career producing abundant revenue and profit for our family + community,
And of course have a great marriage and relationship with our kids as a father or mother
All of this is 100% possible for you in a relatively short time frame but it's going to require something that a lot of us don't want to hear...
ACCOUNTABILITY
So let's dive into the challenging, but rewarding reality of what it takes to achieve your dreams
This is a long post so save it for later if you don’t have time right now
But in shaa Allah it will be worth the read
I’ll continue the post in the comments:
The Modern Muslim Man Lifestyle
One of my Muslim brothers who I look up to tremendously told me last week
Don’t build your prayers around your life
Build your life around your prayers
A powerful way to set up a healthy and successful lifestyle
So I set some alarms for myself
6 am Fajr
12 pm Dhuhr
2:30 pm Asr
5 pm Maghrib
7 pm Ishaa
And thanks to this structure
I’ve been able to be more structured with my nutrition, my business, and my workouts
And have been able to start producing better results across my health, happiness, and good deeds in the eyes of Allah
Prayer teaches you to be proactive, have a positive mindset, and be grateful to Allah
It helps you stay calm and focused on your goals
And of course - it helps you achieve a higher position in Jannah
So why is it that we feel a temptation to not pray?
To procrastinate?
If you’re already in the habit of prayer, you see how easy and beneficial it is
But for the Muslim brothers and sisters like me who were lagging, procrastinating on, and rationalizing about their prayers
Build your life around your prayers
And you’ll be blown away how much easier it is to stay disciplined with your diet, your business/career, your workouts, and with how you treat others
And most importantly, the example you set to the people around you of what it means to be a Muslim
May Allah reward you for your da’wah and showing others the peace, tranquility, and success that comes from being in alignment with your Islam
The first reward of prayer - is the increased happiness and success you'll instantly see in this Dunya, and of course, the positive effects on your status with Allah in the Akhira

Walid Halty, CEO | Dvinci.co
Balancing fitness, business, and your personal life is challenging
Especially as a Modern Muslim Man
The stress
The pressure
The time constraints
A lot of Muslims don’t want to talk about this...
But Walid is highly transparent and has given me permission to share his story
When Walid and I started working together
He was struggling with his weight
Working 16 hour days running a quickly growing solar company with over 200 employees
At only 26 years old he saw his body and mind aging rapidly as well
And needed to take charge of his health
Being the massive action taker he is
He tried the 75 hard challenge
Working out twice a day, 7 days a week
Eating 1500 calories
Yet he was still stuck with a belly and high levels of stress
It wasn’t till we helped systemize and reduce his cortisol (stress hormone)
That his metabolism kicked in and allowed him to lose 20 lbs in 90 days
Getting in his best shape ever, with abs, and a sharp, driven, disciplined mind to match
By eating more and doing less, we actually fixed his metabolism & stress, got his body out of survival mode, dramatically boosted his energy and focus
And allowed him to lose the gut, get his abs, and produce at a higher level in business, showing up as the leader his company deserves
It took his commitment and courage to go all in
And how he’s been able to reap all the rewards
Do you want to get results like Walid?
Drop me a comment or DM, and let’s change your life in shaa Allah!
Btw - the pic with the description is 6 weeks in, the middle pic is 6 months in, and the professionally taken photo is 9 months in
Commitment + metabolism are the 2 keys to long-term, sustained progress and keeping your results for life.
