Climbing Kilimanjaro to raise money for One World Actors Animal Rescues

My plans are messed up due to the Covid situation but Kilimanjaro is still my goal and I have added a few more destinations in my wish list. I started walking long distance again. Yesterday, I went to Wyre forest, it was a pleasant walk.

Dear all, I went for another hike to the hills of the Licky’s today. I did 7k it was difficult on the slippery hills, I need boots with proper grips, my hiking boots were slipping, anyway I had fun and it was a good practice.

Unfortunately, my next challenge to Monte Baldo in Italy in 2nd of November got cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions!

Dear all, I can finally tell you that I made it to the summit of Ben Nevis. I had two nasty falls on the way down the mountain, it’s Rocky Mountain so I slipped. Luckily, nothing is broken, my body is sore and achy, and I am sure tomorrow bruising will appear. It just reminded me that mountains are not to mess around with. I was exhausted, my concentration level was poor so this when I slipped. I saw many were falling, it was one of most difficult climb of my life but I am glad that I did it. I managed to see some beautiful sights of the mountain. The top boy was inside clouds so visibility was poor.

Dear all, tomorrow I am attempting to climb Ben Nevis so do a little prayer 🙏 for me. I had a lovely scenic drive from Glasgow Airport to Fort William. I am sharing a few pictures of my journey.

I will be facing a new challenge on 1st of September

Climbing Helvellyn (950 meter) was a big dream, I was pulled by the beauty of this mountain and had a desire to look at the beautiful lakes from the top of the mountain. Finally, yesterday the 3rd of August 2020, I found the courage to reach the summit. The whole journey was amazing! Constant steep and rocky climbing was a killer but the spectacular beauty of the mountain kept me moving. The top part of the mountain was freezing cold, i regretted for not having a thicker coat and gloves. I never thought I would make it to the top but with determination I was able to reach my goal. Snowdonia is 100 meter higher than Helvellyn which is my next target. I am praying to God to grant me good health so that I can reach my goals.

In Lake District now. Planning to climb Helvellyn (950 meter) tomorrow.

And into the mountains I go to lose my mind and find my soul.

Yesterday morning, I decided to climb Kinder Scout in Peak District. Took me three hours to drive there due to an accident on the motorway, traffic was stand still. I was worried about the time, I wanted to return before the nightfall. In the end traffic moved and I was able to teach to the destination. Parking the car was another challenge, I was a beautiful day so all parking spots were taken. By the time I parked a reached to starting point it was already 2pm. I faced extreme difficulties when I reached to the Jacob’s Ladder, the steep climb was a killer, wind was blowing crazy andI felt I won’t make it pass that spot, somehow I managed to go up to the hills then had to carry on going up towards kinder scout. This was the first big challenge and I am glad that I completed it. I felt spiritually uplifting when I stood on top of the highest stone of the peak! I rested my tired body on the warm flat stone. I looked up to the sky which felt very close. The air felt clean and the atmosphere around me was quiet and peaceful.

Today’s training, mostly uphill, covered distance 10.4 k. After two months worth of training, today I feel ready to take the next challenge. So thinking to go for snowdonia or Helvellyn or little less challenging like kinder scout.
