*TOPIC: WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT...*
“So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt”. Genesis 45:8
*MESSAGE*
It is fascinating to see how many times in the scriptures God manifested His plan and purpose in things that were intended for evil against His children by turning them around for good. For example, when Daniel was thrown in the Lion’s den and when the three Hebrew boys were thrown into the fire. Another example is what Joseph’s brothers did to him. They intended to sell him into slavery for evil, but God meant it for good. God’s plan was being unfolded even in the evil designs that they had against their brother.
How true are the words of the psalmist: “weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning” (Psalm 30:5). Another beautiful scripture says “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee in Judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord…” (Isaiah 54:17-18)
Satan may shoot His arrows at you, but God will turn them around for your benefit and for your good. You just have to trust in God, believing that He is in control and will never leave you alone even when things are hard.
*ACTION POINT*
Trust in God, no matter what you may be passing through. In due course, all will be well.
*SCRIPTURES*
Genesis 45:8; Isaiah 54:17; Psalm 55:22

*TOPIC: HAVE FAITH"
“And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?” Luke 7:19
*MESSAGE*
I doubt that you do not doubt; everyone doubts. John the Baptist, the greatest Prophet who ever lived, doubted. The account of John the Baptist sending his disciples to confirm whether Jesus is truly the Messiah is a classic example of doubt. It may have gone without much attention but for the high spiritual pedigree of John.
John probably expected Jesus to have saved him from Herod, but that did not happen. John had a confidence crisis due to his prevailing circumstances. Jesus, however, only sent words to reiterate what John already knew about the Messiah.
Beloved, your doubting can never demean God or devalue His words. When you are faced with doubt about the faithfulness of God, what You have always known to be true of Him and experienced should restore your confidence in Him. Jesus could have impressed John's disciples with new signs and miracles but He didn't. Remind yourself of God’s track record in your life and lay hold on faith again.
*ACTION POINT*
When you are in doubt, raise your confidence level through your personal experiences, testimonies and the written words.
*SCRIPTURES*
Luke 17:5-6; Mark 9:24; 2 Corinthians 12:8-10; Philippians 4:13
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Lord, thank You for saving me in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord Jesus, I know You are the Messiah; strengthen me and plead my cause in the name of Jesus.
3. Every power posing doubt and fear on my way, I paralyse and bind in the name of Jesus.

YOUTH AND REFORMATION
It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Lamentations 3:27.
God calls young men in the vigor and strength of their youth to share with Him self-denial, sacrifice, and suffering. If they accept the call, He will make them His instruments to save souls for whom He died. But He would have them count the cost and enter upon their work with a full knowledge of the conditions upon which they serve a crucified Redeemer....
Our first work should be to bring our own hearts into harmony with God, and then we are prepared to labor for others. In former days there was great searching of heart among our earnest workers. They counseled together and united in humble, fervent prayer for divine guidance.... Christ’s coming is nearer than when we believed. Every passing day leaves us one less to proclaim the message of warning to the world. Would that there were today more earnest intercession with God, greater humility, greater purity, and greater faith.
We have a grand work to do for the Master, to open the word of God to those who are in the darkness of error. Young friends, act as though you had a sacred charge. You should be Bible students, ever ready to give to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you. By your true Christian dignity give evidence that you know you have a truth that it is for the interest of the people to hear. If this truth is inwrought in the soul, it will manifest itself in the countenance and demeanor, in a calm, noble self-possession and peace which the Christian alone can possess. Those who have genuine humility, and whose minds have been expanded by the truths unfolded in the gospel, will have an influence that will be felt. They will make an impression upon minds and hearts.
I have no higher wish than to see our youth imbued with the spirit of pure religion which will lead them to take up the cross and follow Jesus. Go forth, young disciples of Christ, controlled by principle, clad in the robes of purity and righteousness. Your Saviour will guide you into the position best suited to your talents and where you can be most useful. In the path of duty you may be sure of receiving grace sufficient for your day.
THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH AND REFORMATION
The Latin verb “reformare,” from which the English word derives, occurs only twice in the Latin translation of the Bible. The concept of reform, however, is a biblical one, and appears throughout the Old and New Testament. True reformation is an act of God whereby in his covenant love He directs his people back to his Word and to the proper worship of Him. In the Bible it is made clear that return to Scripture and proper service are the main components of reformation. One could give several examples of reformation recorded in the Bible, but three will have to suffice:
the reforms of Asa (2 Chronicles 14) based on the laws and commandments of God and consisting in a return to true worship;
the rediscovery of the Book of the Law during the reign of Josiah (2 Chronicles 34-35) and the proper keeping of the Passover;
the reforms recorded in Nehemiah 8, where the Law is read, the covenant is reaffirmed, and the Sabbath-day worship is restored.
True reformation, then, occurs when God directs believers to his Word and the right worship of Him. The reformation of the sixteenth century, we may say, was a reformation of this kind. As a theological term, then, reformation means reinstatement of proper service to God that is based on Scripture.
The Bible stresses that reform comes not by the instigation of great doers or thinkers, but by the grace of God. It is not for the glory of man but for the glory of God’s Holy name that He causes reformation. In Nehemiah we read that God brings about changes in order that He may make his name dwell among his people again (Nehemiah 1:9). In Ezekiel 36 we read that God will cause his people to walk according to his statutes. Verse 23 states: “It is not for your sake, O Israel, that I am about to act, but for the sake of my Holy Name which you have profaned among the nations.” Thus the goal of reform among God’s people is the restoration of God’s holy name. Also the sixteenth century reformation was an act of God to restore the glory of his name. Not unlike the prophets in ancient Israel, the reformers knew that they were no more than “unworthy servants” who performed the duties assigned by their Master.
During the Middle-Ages the word “reformation” was used commonly in the realms of law, society, and church. For example, amendments and applications of legal regulations were labelled “reformations.” In social life the term meant renewal, or revival of lost values. In the church, “reformation” meant institutional change; often such change occurred following a decision of a Council. Several popes attempted to make changes within the church, and already during the twelfth century it became possible for ecclesiastical reforms to be enacted without the approval of the state.
As time passed, it became clear that the church needed to be reformed completely, from the top down. To use the phrase of the time, the church required renovation “in head and in members.” Accordingly, Pope Innocent III convened the Fourth Lateran Council in order to “reform the universal church.” Due to internal and external opposition, however, changes were difficult to enact. Nevertheless, the notion that the structures of church and state required correction was being accepted widely between 1400 and 1500. Out of these medieval sentiments grew the conviction of the sixteenth-century reformers that renovation based on the Bible was required. We must appreciate this continuity in the history of ideas if we wish to understand many aspects of the Reformation.

THEME: BE YE TRANSFORMED TEXT: ROMANS 12:2
SUBTOPIC: THE NEED FOR YOUTH TRANSFORMATION
By PST. DR JOEL B. KERENWIN
Introduction
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God Romans 12:1-2. What is transformation? It is the operation of changing or mapping of one configuration into another. It is a process of converting either by insertion, deletion or permutation, or conversion from one form/entity into another. Transformation is a universal law of life that God has put in place to ensure purpose, continuity and advancement in life. (Gen. 1:1-7)
Understanding what Makes Us Youths
Defining the term youth is a very difficult task. World institutions, nations and scholars do not agree on a single definition of who is a youth. However, life teaches us things that the media, schools or humans cannot teach us (Isa.65:20). According to Solomon Selcap Dalung the Honourable Minister Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria in the National Youth Policy 2019, “A major thrust of the current review is regarding the age bracket for the classification of youth from existing grading of 18 – 35 years to 15 – 29 years” (3). Adesola Olusade in the National Youth Policy further defined youth as:
For statistical purposes, youth is defined by the United Nations as the age range 15 to 24 years, but this age bracket is largely considered as too narrow for countries in Africa, given their political, economic and socio-cultural circumstances. In Nigeria, as in many other African countries, the transition to independent adulthood life, in terms of achieving the economic and social stability that comes with steady employment, may extend into the late twenties and sometimes, beyond. Thus, the African Youth Charter of 2006 defines youth as persons between the ages of 15 and 35 years. On a similar basis, Nigeria's 2009 National Youth Policy chronologically defined youth as persons of age 18 to 35 years (24).
A youth is a young human person in body, mind, strength, and function. There are several parameters for defining a youth:
a) Age: speaks of the early stage or phase of life when we grow in our body structure, increase in apical or meristem growth. It is the morning phase of life when we can walk, run, and fly. Age is not a barrier as a youth but a booster age refers to that state of life when we are called upon by God to remember Him (Eccl.12:1) it is the time to prepare for our future/harvest; it is the time to sow/gather and reap souls. When you look smart, acquire skills, get empowered and special. Isa.65:20
b) Function: this speaks of our performance. We are in the stage of life when we can climb, jump and scale virtually any obstacle. There are menial manual labours that we ought to do now to make us strong. There are functions only youths can perform. There are also activities that we ought to engage in now that we are youths. Our function and performance as youths now will determine our overall productivity in life. Prov.20:29
c) Character: nobody is born a good or bad person in life. We grow and acquire either good or bad character. There are certain character sets that make us look either childish or old. Our behaviour should be that we are hardworking, respectful, humble, diligent, meek, teachable, and not proud, disobedient, indolent, rascally, stubborn, and notorious. 1Sam.18:5,30
d) Wisdom: it is not true that wisdom is for the old. The three wisest men in Bible time (Job, Solomon, and Daniel) were youths. Inventions, wealth, riches, and glory in every dispensation of life is found among the youths. Hence, wisdom is not answerable to age but inspiration. Job 32:6-8. Youths who walk with the wise are wise but those who rejects wisdom and embrace folly are destroyed.prov.13:20
e) Strength: strength here speaks of capacity, skills and talent. These strengths is either endowed or acquired. Youths are known to have strength because they possess the ability to do so much. The youths are the choiresters, music and band players, Sunday school, ushers, prayer band, witness, and youth movement members. This is capacity. Youth's strength determines their area of leadership. Lam.3:27.
Understanding the Purpose of Transformation
There are countless reasons for transformation in life. Without transformation in our lives as youth, it is possible that we shall be overtaken, overburdened, overwhelmed and finally made extinct.
a) Initiation of the new life
b) Advancement and progress in life
c) Continuity and succession in life
d) Release of strength and power to confront challenges
e) Opportunities to fly high and experience new heights
Levels of Spiritual Transformation
1) Repentance: (Gr.metaneoeo) Jesus meant that to repent is to have a change of heart toward sin, the world and God. It is a summons to a personal, absolute and ultimate unconditional surrender to God. It is a 180° complete change of direction and turn towards God. (Repentance-Wikipedia).
2) Conversion: the Holman Bible Dictionary online defines conversion as a person's turning to God. Conversion is the experience of an individual who encounters God's reality or purpose and responds to that encounter in personal faith and commitment. Lam. 5:21, Ps.19:7.
3) Regeneration: (palingenesia). this is the radical spiritual change in which God brings a person from a condition of spiritual defeat and death to a renewed condition of triumph, holiness and life through faith in Jesus Christ. Titus 3:5, John 3:3-8, 1Peter 1:23.
4) Transformation: the KJV Dictionary online defines it as to change the natural disposition and temper of man from a state of enmity to God and his law, into the image of God, or into a disposition and temper conformed to the will of God. Rom.12:2. The change of heart in man.
5) Manifestation: (apokalupsis) “uncovering” to make apparent, to make very evident, the revealing, to prove, to make evident beforehand. Rom.8:19, 1Cor.12:7, 2Cor.4:2.
Some form of Worldly or Satanic Transformation
1) Empty pregnancies (Isa.26:18)
2) False angels of light (2Cor.11:14)
The Place of Transformation
If we were asked where does transformation take place? We may begin to think that it happens on New Year Eve December 31st night, or after marriage, good job, after an accident etc. Transformation takes place in time. It happens anywhere, anytime any day. It is both voluntary and involuntary. The places of transformation include:
a) The spiritual realm
b) The physical world
c) The mind
d) The body
e) The time and place of encounter
Dimensions of Transformation
Transformation is not a single mode process or operation like boiling eggs. It is a complex multifaceted operation that covers the following forms:
1. Spiritual transformation
a) Spiritual birth
b) Spiritual growth through prayer
c) Character fruition through light
d) Commitment to kingdom service
2. Mental transformation
a) Mind renewal/improvement
b) Mind discipline
c) Mind exercise and stretching
3. Social transformation
a) Attitudinal shift
b) Relationship upgrade
c) Time valuation
d) Building social structure and network
Wisdom and the School of Transformation
How Wisdom Transforms
1) It creates a wise heart: Prov.20:5, 28:26
2) It creates an ear that seeks knowledge: Prov.1:5,15:31-32, 18:13
3) It creates a wise lips: Prov.16:21,15:2,7, 10:19,17:28,18:6
4) It creates wise eyes Prov. 28:22, 4:25-26,
5) It creates a wise face Eccl.8:1,
Agency of Transformation
There are known agents or catalysts that make change, conversion or recreation possible in life. It must be said here that no agent or agency of transformation will succeed in the transformation operation without the total submission of the subject/person seeking transformation.
1) Fellowship and prayer (Matt.17:1-2, Acts 4:31, Gal.4:19)
2) Training and empowerment (Acts 4:13, 2 Tim.2:15, 2Sam. 23:16, 1Chron.20:5).
3) Wisdom and knowledge of the word of God (2 Cor.4:16, Col.3:10).
4) The Holy Spirit (2Cor.3:18, Titus 3:5, Eph.4:23)
5) Man (self) (1Sam.30:4-6, Luke 15:17-18).
Parables of Transformation: A parable is usually a short fictitious story that illustrates a moral wisdom, attitude, or a religious principle. There are Biblical parables that teach us the essence of transformation such as:
1) The parable of the prodigal son
2) The parable of the talent
3) The parable of foolish and wise mother
Meeting the Agent of Transformation: The Transformer or Transformant (Eph. 2:2 John 16:8-14, 2Cor.13:14, John 14:17, 12:31, Acts 26:18)
1) The intimacy and fellowship
2) The guide and partnership
3) The Revelation/introduction of Jesus
4) The producer of conviction and faith
5) The provisioner/provider of power
Conclusion: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication.

TOPIC: YOUTHS THAT CAN TRANSFORM THE CHURCH AND SOCIETY
TEXT: Romans 12:2
Don't copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (New Living Translation)
1.0 INTRODUCTION:
The yearning and clamour for change in the church and society has been there from time immemorial. However, the change cannot be achieved without the active involvement of the youths. Hence there have been clamour for Youths involvement and integration into the affairs of the church and the society. An example is the “NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN”which the Federal Government in 2018 signed into law a bill reducing the age of political office holders to pave way for youth's involvementin decision making of the country (Nigeria) and holding of political offices.
The church is not left out. In some denominations we now have a church specifically for youths known as youth church. In The Apostolic Church Nigeria and Maritime Territory the National/Territorial fathers through divine wisdom have also recognised youths as integral part of the church through the establishment of Youth Movement and making it one of the arms of the church.
The call for active youth's involvement is predicated on the presumption that youths have great abilities, talentsand potentials and their involvement in the affairs of the church and society especially in this 21st century can bring desired changes and development.
According toTED W. ENGSTROM on the challenges of today's youth in “Youth and the Church: A survey of the church's ministry to youth” Edited by Roy G. Irving and Roy B. Zuck he said:
Young people are capable of more leadership ability than they are often given credit for. The church that utilizes its young people in services, projects, missionary, outreach, programme planning, and evangelistic efforts, realizes something of their abilities.
That the youths have great abilities and potentials is not disputable. However, the issue is the proper utilization of these abilities and potentials to bring the desired changes or transformation in the church and society.
2.0 Youths and the Society/Church
Research have shown that most of the crimes in the society ranging from cybercrime, kidnapping, Armed robbery, r**e, cultism and terrorism are perpetrated by the youths. In other words, 80 percentage of the crimes and social vices in the country are committed by the youths. The youths are involved in prostitutionand other sexual immorality, drug addiction, thuggery, examination malpractice, in**st and so on.
In the church we have youths who are notorious in challenging the authority of the church, immoral conducts, nonchalant attitudes towards the things of God and indecent dressing all in the name of modern fashion; youths who can't interpret the Bible, lack the basic knowledge of the scripture, have no encounter with Jesus and ethnic bigotries.
From the foregoing the question that is germane is how will the church and the society be transformed by these kind of Youths and what kind of transformation will these set of youths bring in the church and the society. This bring us to the topic of this lecture and the next discussion, the youth that can transform the church and society.
3.0 The Youth that can transform the Church and Society
1. A youth that is totally changed from inside or inwardly. Rom. 12:2. The English word for “transformation” comes from the Greek word metamorphosis, which implies a total change from inside out. The change must begin inwardly and from the mind and reflect in every aspect of his/her lives; thinking, behaviour, attitude, and Christian lifestyle. According to Napoleon Hill if a man can change himself, he can change his world. Change begin from the mind.
2. A Youth that his/her thoughts and desire are centered on the things of God. Rom. 12:2. What a man constantly think affect his lifestyles and behaviour. The action of a man is a reflection of his thoughts. As a man thinks so he is. What a man does openly is the displayof his/her secret thoughts or thoughts going on in his/her mind.
3. A Youth that has in-depth knowledge of the scripture/word of God. What the knowledge of the scripture/word of God does:
- To renew the human mind. The mind is the center of all thoughts and emotions. When the mind is renewed, the whole man is renewed. The more one reads the scripture daily the more the mind is renewed daily. Transformation begins from the mind. To change a man, change his mindset.
- Spiritual growth – the knowledge of the scripture help one to grow spiritually. When a man grow spiritually he puts away childishness and reason like an adult (spiritual maturity).1cor. 13:11.
- Grow in grace and knowledge of Christ. 2peter 3:18.
- It equip and encourage the youth not to be tossed to and fro. Eph. 4:11-15.
4. A youth who can take a stand for the right (self-discipline). Dan. 1:8. Daniel was able to take his stand for the right, refusing to drink the king's wine and he made impact in his generation. Daniel 6:26-27. Joseph manifested moral courage and right principles when tempted Genesis. 39:7-19.The three Hebrews stood for what was right. Daniel 3:16-29. The popular saying if you can't beat them join them shouldn't be the slogan of a youth who desire to change his world and the church. Instead it should be if I can't change them now I can change them tomorrow if I don't quit and compromise.
5. A youth who is studious and hardworking.Hard work is one secret of success. A youth who want to transform the church and society must be hardworking. Hard work leads to success and greatness. Prov. 22:29. Only successful men can transform their society. A lazy youth have nothing to offer to his society. According to Napoleon Hill, Greatness comes to those who develop a burning desire to achieve high goals and success is achieved and maintained by those who try and keep on trying with positive mental attitudes. He further stated that anything in life worth having is worth working for.
6. A youth who is teachable and eager to learn. Prov. 1:5. Any youth who wants to make impact in his/her generation must be willing to learn. Learning makes one become wise and through learning one receive guidance. Prov. 9:9.
7. A youth who keep company of wise people. The kind of people you associate with have great influence in your life. A youth who walk with wise people will always receive wise counsel that will shape his life and build him/her up. The reverse is the case with one who walks with the company of fools.Prov. 13:20.
8. A youth that obeys the constituted authority. Hebrews 13:17
9. A prayerful youth. A youth who wants to change things in his/her generation shouldn't underestimate the power of prayer. With prayer the impossible can be made possible. Matthew 17:21; Mark 9:29.
4.0 Conclusion: To transform the church and the society is possible only if you can pay the price. The price is “YOU”. If you can allow God to transform youthen you can transform your world. An encounter with Jesus makes the difference.

BIARA AREA YOUTH CONVENTION 2021 || IN HIS PRESENCE (WELCOME SERVICE) || KINGDOM BUSINESS
LECTURE PRESENTED BY BROTHER LEDUM BAKPO TO THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH BIARA AREA YOUTHS MOVEMENT, IN YOUTH’S CONVENTION HELD ON 13TH AUGUEST 2021, HELD AT BIARA AREA HEAD QUARTERS. THEME: BE YE TRANSFORMED, ROMANS 12:2 LECTURE TOPIC: FINACIAL FREEDOM.
INTRODUCTION
In life everybody have biggest dreams e.g. almost everybody want to own mansions, exotic cars, becoming the richest man/woman in the world, providing a high quality life for your family as well wish to travel round the world etc.
The question is what is preventing people from their biggest dreams? The answer is money.
Then, to achieve your dreams you most attain the level called financial freedom. It is important to note that procedure to achieve financial freedom is a step-by-step path way that facilitate more money in a lesser time and the starting point is when you realise your financial strength.
We can’t dove deeply to the subject matter (financial freedom) without delve into strong financial foundations.
Financial Foundation simply means setting up structure that will magnet finances towards your direction, and the three(3) major mindset to achieve financial foundation are as follows:
By involving in skill acquisition/creativity
Skill acquisition could be define as the ability to be trained on a particular task or function in order to become expert in it, there after you become boss (financial independent).
By Becoming Employee.
Since the starting point of generating income is always difficult, it is better to seek employment and get employed either by a person, firm, company, organisation or into civil service commission etc. As an employee; there will be regular income at every specific agreed period (either hourly, daily, weekly, monthly etc).
By Operating Business or Investment
These are the most important and the strongest financial foundation, it is money making machine (MMM), it is too lucrative.
Business involves any activity of making money by producing, buying and selling of goods and services in order to make profit. These foundations facilitate the financial freedom than any other foundations.
What is financial freedom?
This is defined as a situation where you have a dependable cash flow that allows you to leave the life style you want for yourself and the family etc.
This implies you will not be worrying about how to pay bill or sudden expenses.
The three factors that aid financial freedom are:
*How to make a dependable cash flow
*Design a pattern for to regular savings
*Develop strong habit for investment
STEPS TO ACHIEVE FINANCIAL FREEDOM.
Understand your Financial Status
The first marker on the path to financial freedom start with knowing the accurate financial information about yourself. This include having a clear idea of how much debt you have, your accumulated savings, your monthly expenses, and your regular income etc. once you have these knowledge, it will aid you to achieve the financial freedom
(2) CREATE ADDITIONAL SOURCES OF INCOME
Operating one particular line of business or one source of income rendered precarious source of income. Whatever your source(s) is/are, there is need to create more sources of income, this will serve as catalyst to your financial freedom. So if you have a job from 8am to 4pm, it may not be sufficient, because some experts encouraged people to discover as many as five (5) different sources (streams) of income.
E.g. Aliko Dangote started cement business, - Surga Company, Salt company, foodstuff company, Flour Mills company, etc currently on refinery
(3) MINIMIZE EXPENSES AND MAXIMIZE SAVINGS
This simply means to reduce some expenses and increase the saving method.
It’s wise to cut off certain expenses (liabilities) to aid more savings (investment)
The more your expenditure is inversely proportional to your savings, the more financially buoyant you become.
E.g. earned 20k, paying house rent of 150k (self contain) BAL = 60k for the year
(4) BECOME DEPT FREE
The biggest roadblock to financial freedom is debt, and worst kind of it is the credit card debt with interest rate.
Try to be contented with what you have. This means; ’’Don’t cut your cloth according to your size, always cut it according to the available materials.
BENEFITS FOR FINANCIAL FREEDOM
*You will become boss (independent)

CONCLUTION
