Today I let the kids skip school, and we volunteered at a “Feed My Starving Children” opportunity that Northwestern Mutual offered to us. We had a great experience in our hair nets and official “Kad-Ade” uniforms! Our team boxed up 18 boxed shipments of food. We were on team Kenya, and every time we packed a box we got to yell out “Box! Team Kenya!!!” As a whole, for the hour we hustled, we provided 78 kids a meal a day for a year! Kaden and Adella feel great about that!

Today at work we had the honor of listening to a Holocaust Survivor who shared her story live at our home office in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day.
It was profoundly moving. She shared her survival story through her eyes at the time. Which was about the age of my daughter now. Most of her Family did not survive. Including her Father.
It was hard to hear, and comprehend. I will take from it what she left us with. "The power of one". One person can do the right thing that can make an impact.
In respect of her sharing her gut wrenching life story, it will be a mission of mine to think of this daily. In a sea of hatred and evil there can be one person that can with kindness and compassion change the outcome of someone's life.
(I am happy to work for an organization that encourages diversity and inclusion and allows us the opportunity to attend these events.)
