As I have said before, there is no one-size-fits-all solution here. Offering the flexibility is important.
It has to be a consensual and workable solution, between you, your team, and Supervisor.

Why Early Environments Are So Vital for a Baby's Brain 19/09/2024

I know that "attachment parenting" is pooh pooh-ed by many ... but it is based on some good Research.
Babies do need a lot of cuddling and interaction, it stimulates their brains and helps their growth.
There is probably no need to keep your baby attached to you all day long, but you definitely need significant periods of cuddling, contact and interactions.

Why Early Environments Are So Vital for a Baby's Brain Early care is about much more than meeting a baby's needs.

Interesting.
One of my recurring nightmares, is being late for an exam, or class, and not being able to find my way to the right classroom or Exam Hall !
At 51+, I often wonder at the ridiculousness of this, after I wake up ! Why is my subconscious still worried about this happening ?! 🤔😀

Decision speed: A new window into hidden social preferences 17/09/2024

Very interesting !
People who make fast decisions tend to display strong selfish or prosocial behaviors, while those who take more time are often undecided, or balancing multiple factors.
System 1 Mode and System 2 Mode ?
We know that quick decisions are often impulsive, emotional and instinctive, and not the best quality, especially for complex choices and decisions.

How a Bit of Stress Can Keep Your Workplace Running Smoothly 16/09/2024

This is really a mixed bag.
Some stress and anxiety can be very good for Good and Rational Decision Making. It's only when it exceeds those levels, that stress becomes problematic.
Also, a lot of people misunderstand "positivity" to mean just empty optimism. That is not the Psychological Definition of Positive Psychology, nor will it work. People who are upbeat and cheerful all the time, for no reason, can become really irritating.
"Positivity with a Plan", thats the only kind that works, and it works really well. Its one of my favorite phrases, I know 🙂

How a Bit of Stress Can Keep Your Workplace Running Smoothly Constant positivity isn’t realistic. Strategic stress, on the other hand, keeps things running smoothly at work and helps you tackle problems before they become even worse.

Mary Anderson: The Unsung Hero of Windshield Wipers Did you know that the windshield wiper, a crucial feature in modern cars, was invented by a woman named Mary Anderson? Born on an Alabama plantation in 1866, Mary was a real estate developer, rancher, and inventor who made history with her innovative idea. In 1902, during a snowy day in New York City, Mary rode a trolley and watched as the driver struggled to see through the icy windshield. She designed a spring-loaded lever with a rubber blade that allowed drivers to clean their view from inside the vehicle. Patented in 1903, her invention laid the foundation for windshield wipers as we know them today. Despite her groundbreaking work, Mary never profited from her invention. By the time windshield wipers became standard in cars, her patent had expired. Yet, today they are essential in safe driving, highlighting the vital role of creativity and perseverance. 🚗❄️💡

How to step out of your inner monologue and understand the world better 10/09/2024

"This research reminds us that while we may be constrained by our brains’ tendencies, we’re not imprisoned by them. Through science, philosophy and a willingness to challenge our assumptions, we can expand our views and recognize that our way of seeing the world isn’t the only truth. "
That says it all, doesn't it ?! Excellent article.

How to step out of your inner monologue and understand the world better Whether it’s something as trivial as pineapple on pizza or as complex as religion, human beings have always been passionately divided by polarizing viewpoints. 5 Things a Real-Life Psychopath Might Do 08/09/2024

Very true.
Thanks to Hollywood and the media, we associate Psychopaths only with crazy serial murderers or rapists. But, while most serial murderers and rapists may be Psychopaths, only a small proportion of Psychopaths will go to such extremes.
Psychopathy is also a spectrum, like most other mental disorders.
A lack of empathy, the core trait of Psychopathy, can be seen, to varying degrees, in many many people.

5 Things a Real-Life Psychopath Might Do 4. They take big risks. Very big.
