🌟 Monday Motivation 🌟
Did you know that by January 21st, 85% of people have given up on their New Years Resolutions
To me this is a crazy statistic, however it is consistent year on year 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣
If you are struggling to keep you NYR or need help along the way DM me for online training and let's continue to smash those goals together!
Be in the 15% not the 85%

Burpees for Friday!
Calla and I are both a bit naughty and tend to have negative self dialogue about ourselves ❌
So in an attempt to reduce this and become more positive... for every negative thing said or implied during our sessions we give each other 2 burpees 😅...
Then at the end of our session we do our burpees together 🙏
This is a little bit of fun we have, we are not 'punishing' ourselves but just trying to increase the awareness we have for our internal/external monologue 🤭
Luckily this weeks session we were on our best behavior and only had 2 each 🤣
💪EXERCISE TIP 💪
Don't forget to warm up!
Types of warm up:
💓 Dynamic Stretches
💓 Heart Raiser - e.g. walk on treadmill
💓 Mobility Exercises
💓 Foam Roll
Benefits to warming up:
💓 Your joints loosen up
💓 Engages your brain with the body
💓 Increases body temperature
💓 Reduce risk of injury
💓 Help mentally prepare for your workout
💓 Increase flexibility for warm-up

💪 Exercise of the week 💪
✨ WALKING ✨
It may sound simple but there are countless benefits to walking.
Here are just a few:
🚶♀️ Low Impact
🚶♀️ Improved cardiovascular health
🚶♀️ Reduced risk of heart disease and stroke
🚶♀️ Stronger bones and improved balance
🚶♀️ Reduced body fat
🚶♀️ Improved management of joint stiffness/aches, diabetes and high cholesterol
🚶♀️ Releases endorphins (natural pain killers and happy hormones)
🚶♀️ Muscle toning
🚶♀️ Improve mood
🚶♀️ Stimulate your digestive systems
Honestly the list goes on and on...
In my opinion walking is one of the most underrated exercises out there and the bets thing is you can do it indoors or outdoors and is completely free!!
Just 30 mins per day or 10,000 steps can have a huge impact on your health
However if you are unable to commit to that just do what you can and aim to improve every week 👍
New Years Resolution Top Tip
Remember your why
Remembering your why will help to keep you on track on those days where you just don't want to carry on with your resolution
There are several ways you keep keep your why front and center:
- Create a vision board - keep it somewhere visible
- Change the photo on your phone - whether it's for you, your family or someone you aspire to be like, put it on the home screen of your phone
- Pop it on your fridge - whether its a couple of sentences or a photo
It is critical to your success to not forget your purpose

2 Weeks to go 💇♀️😱
This photo is the reason I am donating my hair (sorry about the quality of the photo 😂)
One of many family weekends spent laughing and making memories
But most importantly Auntie Donna is front and centre (white top) with a smile that could brighten anyone's day
On days when Donna didn't want to wear her wig we would all wear head scarves with her. We would go to the pub in them, out for walks in them or simply just wear them around the house
Even in the tough times Donna was a ray of sunshine. Making everyone around her laugh hysterically, being daft and generally just making the most of every moment
Her energy was infectious and she was one of the most positive people I have ever had the privilege of spending time with
I still remember waking up on the second last day in Indonesia to a phone calling letting me know Donna had passed away
It was such a difficult day however I couldn't help but feel so incredibly lucky to have had so much time with her. From all of our family weekends to the lunches we had on my way back and forth to Uni
I'm doing this for her and for everyone affected by cancer
And I am so grateful that the team at Daniel Francis are looking after me. I have known Jak my whole life and he has been cutting my hair since I can remember and there is no one else I can imagine doing this for me
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far I can't thank you enough. If anyone would like to donate please follow the link below or feel free to share my post

Be Stronger Than Your Excuses
IT'S CHRISTMAS SEASON 🎅🤶
..And although this is a time of year we love, it can also be where we lose sight of our fitness goals and go completely off the rails...
However there is a way you can enjoy the festivities and not let all of your hard work go to waste
Here's my top tips:
➡️ Chose 1 or 2 events where you go for it! Eat, drink & enjoy 💃
➡️ The rest of your events have a glass or a snack but control yourself for the rest for the event
➡️ Don't let an event turn into a full day of doing what you like
➡️ Be realistic with your expectations - don't over commit to exercise/nutrition and then beat yourself up when you don't complete it
➡️ Remember what is important!
The festive period is about enjoying yourself, being with loved ones and celebrating the previous year and the year ahead
Don't let a few weeks of celebrating completely derail you, however remember how hard you've been working and life is for living!
Just over 3 Weeks to go until the big hair cut!!! 😱
Trying to not get too nervous and imagine what I'll look like with short hair...
I've got no doubt the amazing team at Daniel Francis are going to do an amazing job with what is left after I donate my hair
Just remembering I'm doing it for 2 great charities 😀
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, it really does mean a lot to me
I'm 58% of the way there now, if anyone would like to donate and read why I am doing this please follow the link

⭐️Client Update⭐️
Claudia has done an incredible job over the last 12 weeks
With lots going on she has stayed consistent in the gym
Initially we lowered her weights in order to focus on form and now she is lifting heavier than ever 🏋️♀️

World Diabetes Day 2022
5 facts about diabetes:
- Diabetes is a major cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks, stroke and lower limb amputation
- Between 2000 and 2019, there was a 3% increase in diabetes mortality rates by age
- In 2019, diabetes and kidney disease due to diabetes caused an estimated 2 million deaths
Diabetes is a dangerous condition and an estimated 1.2 million Australians have a form of diabetes
A healthy diet, regular physical activity, maintaining a normal body weight and avoiding to***co use are ways to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes
Evidence states that Type 2 diabetes is mainly put into remission by weight loss, it is suggested weight loss is started as close to diagnosis as possible, however exercise is beneficial at all stages
Remember to speak to your health professional and seek guidance from a fitness professional

Incredible results from Grant
Not only did he lose:
🌟21 cm
🌟16.5 mm of fat
Another big goal was to be able to move the knees pain free, which we have managed to achieve
Not only does this allow for better quality of life with less pain it also means we can perform more movements and bring back some of the training he loves
