We’ve all heard it, right? “You should let your nails breathe.”
Well, that’s weird and actually a myth.
Simply removing your enhancement, whether it’s acrylic, gel polish, poly gel, gel x or dip powder- your nails aren’t going to magically heal themselves or breathe life back into themselves.
With proper prep techniques it’s very likely you’ll NEVER have to remove your enhancements or stop getting them.
Enhancements of any kind should NEVER be damaging to the natural nail plate, and if they are, babe find a new nail lady.🤘🏼

as a nail tech, we come across some questionable things in our line of work, some that can cause permanent damage to the nail and cause serious infection.
for me, the health and safety of my clients is a top priority (along with service satisfaction of course)
and although may be seen as poor taste to point out some of the flaws in the industry, it’s important to me to spread some awareness on things.

some of these things might be all to familiar, or even seem weird. Like the seating thing. If it’s anything but a leather-like or plastic material it can’t be properly sanitized or disinfected- which is HUGE in the industry.
if you see something, say something! don’t be afraid to speak up, after all it’s your wellness at the end of the day.
