Analyzing your business space and specifying a proper set of speakers has transformed over the past handful of years. New technology allows for a certain type of speakers to be powered over ethernet (PoE). PoE powered speakers, also known as IP speakers, have a remarkable amount of onboard technology that makes transmission of power, audio information and network data all possible over a single cat6 cable. Since the information sent to the speaker is all digital 1s and 0s, there is a computer to decode in info. Then the computer utilizes a digital to analog converter which sends it’s analog voltage to an on-board amplifier. Some IP speakers come further equipped with a microphone or directly compatible cameras that work seamlessly over the single cat6 cable.
