Camp Arrow seeks to provide homework help and enrichment opportunities for the students of Adair County Middle School.
Camp Arrow will begin September 11th. This year Camp will be 3-5:30. We will be offering busing to drop off points in the county. If your child is interested please contact Angie Smith at 270-384-5308 ext. 5148.
Today May 4th 2023, is the last day for Camp Arrow. If your Child is interested in Camp Arrow Summer Academy, please let me know I have a few slots available. Camp is June5th -June 16th, 7:30-1:30 No transportation is available. Drop-off and Pick-up. If you have any question feel free to call me at 270-384-5308.
Camp Arrow Enrollment Forms are due Monday December 12th. This is a great enrichment program for your kids to make new friends and have fun. Iβm going to be offering Gym one day a week, Woodworking class, STEM,Chess, up-cycling and a Lego Lab and some others are in the works.This is a place for your kids to get there homework done, which allows for more family time at home. If your child needs a little extra help with a subject we would be glad to help. I need new Forms filled out even if your child is currently enrolled. I want to apologize for the recent cancelations of Camp Arrow. This has been due to illness and a miscommunication. Camp Arrow will meet the entire week next week.

Don't forget about our first event for parents and other household adults that will be happening next week! On November 1st at 5:30pm, you are invited to join us at the UK Extension Office on 206 near Lindsey Wilson College's campus.
Participates will assist in creating a healthy, inexpensive meal, as well as learn valuable tips on how to meal prep on a budget.
Letters about the event are going home this week. Many of you may have already received one.

Our theater club grew their improvisation skills through a game of Bus Stop. We were introduced to some pretty interesting characters.
Today was Camp Arrow's second robotics class. We have progressed to physical programming. Our robotics students had to maneuver a rover to different locations on the planet Mars while avoiding obstacles.

Our first presentation for Camp Arrow parents and other household adults is fast approaching. We will be offering a presentation about how to prepare and shop for healthy meals on a budget. Participants will help prepare a healthy, cost-effective family meal and get additional information about how to grocery shop on a budget. With the rising cost of food, you cannot afford to miss it! The event will be held at the UK Extention Office near Lindsey Wilson College's campus on November 1st! The event runs from 5:30 to 6:30pm! π ππ₯π₯π³π₯π²π½
Our next robotics class will be this Friday during Camp Arrow's enrichment time! If your student is registered for Camp Arrow and interested in learning how to create in the world of robotics they are welcome to attend.
Camp Arrow will not meet on the following Fridays this semester: November 11th and December 16th.
Today, during Camp Arrow's enrichment time, our theater students discussed the differences between a story's protagonist and its antagonist. They also worked on their projection and articulation.
Our book club began preparing for their first book, War Horse. They worked with clay and started learning the plot.
Our new Middle School Outreach Program discussed their strengths and weaknesses. They discussed how growing our knowledge and changing our attitude can turn weaknesses into strengths.
During our enrichment time we had 3 clubs meeting. Our theater club worked on a character development exercise. Our chess club continued to learn the strategies of the game. Today's third club was our photography club, and ironically, I didn't get a photograph of their meeting.
We are excited to announce that we will be offering a similar program to last year's TOPS program. The new curriculum will still focus on social emotional growth and building social relationships. We will have an information meeting for interested students at 21st Century on Monday, September 12th during our club time.

Today during tutoring, students worked on finding the meaning and origins of common idioms. We also worked on writing our own. Here's hoping they catch on!
We are excited to announce that we have scheduled our first cooking class tentatively for Friday, September 16th! The menu will be spaghetti! Joining our cooking club to learn how to make quick and easy meals you can cook at home.
Today at Camp Arrow, the Robotics club had its first meeting. The goal was to create a Cosmic Claw. Future NASA engineers!
