For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. - Colossians 1:16-17 📖

When we see the expanse of the sky, the mountains or forests, we are in awe. We will stop and stare for something as common as a deer, to see a flock of geese crossing the street or birds taking off in flight. The reason these things touch our soul is found in Romans 1:20. God's invisible qualities can be understood through his physical creations. Throughout the Bible, God often uses figurative language, or parables, about nature to help us understand unseen spiritual matters.

In this series, "Understanding God's creation", we will understand God's heart through the wonders he created on earth.🌎✝

❓Can Christians live for the pleasures of the world and also follow Christ?
📖 The answer is no, and here's why: the desires for the world will not satisfy our lives and can distract us from the greatest gift God wants us to have, Heaven and eternal life! The best way to overcome this temptation is by engraving the word into our hearts and minds. Just like Jesus overcame temptations from the devil for 40 days in the desert. (Matthew 4:1-11) When we make a commitment to spend time with God's word, we will grow in faith and have actions according the His will in the Bible.

❓Is your inner spirit fighting your flesh? Are you like Paul who knows what you should do but don't do it?

The bible tells us, there is no temptation has seized you except what is common to man. {1 Corinthians 10:13} Naturally we struggle with the disobedient sin in our hearts as believers, but Jesus, by his Spirit, gave us the Bible to overcome that rebellious nature. 💪

✝When we spend time studying the Bible we have less desires for the things of the world and become content with what the Lord has given us. We should set our minds on Heaven & Eternal Life, not the desires of the world that come to nothing. He wants us to become a new creation that is born again!

{2 Corinthians 5:17} - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
