Anxiety is the most common mental health issue.
The Black Community has been disproportionately affected by impacted by the pandemic.
If anxiety remains unchecked, it will build stress and tension, which can severely affect general well-being.
Positive affirmations can help strengthen self-worth by boosting both your positive opinion of yourself and your confidence in your ability to achieve your goals. They can also help counter the feelings of panic, stress, and self-doubt that often accompany anxiety.
Save the date for our next event; our In-person Black Mental Wellness Day is on the 9th October.

Words have power!
How are you speaking to yourself?
All types of trauma, including racial trauma, can contribute to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a mental health condition marked by a range of mental and physical effects.
Traumatic experiences activate your body’s fight, flight, or freeze response. It triggers the release of stress hormones (cortisol and adrenaline). This release causes a range of physiological changes, including increased heart rate and heightened mental alertness
Racial trauma can affect both your mental and physical health, so it’s important to prioritize things like eating regularly and getting enough rest.
